We are a foster based rescue with no facility. Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue is a Cypress, TX based dog rescue established in 2013. We cannot take in abandoned animals unless there is a foster home available and do not have a shelter facility. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and all donations are tax deductible. Looking for a big, handsome, built-in best friend? Meet Oakley, a stunning 4-year-old English Labrador Retriever who weighs in at a magnificent 94 pounds (he’s lost some weight). Oakley is a true “gentle giant” in so many ways, boasting a beautiful, healthy coat that sheds surprisingly little and stays fresh (no typical doggy odor here!).

If you want a loyal companion who will happily follow you from room to room and soak up every ounce of affection you have to give, Oakley is your guy.

🌟 The Bright Side:

The Ultimate Companion: Oakley wants to be your shadow. He loves to be loved on, will constantly ask for pets, and has zero issues with you picking him up (if you can) or giving him big bear hugs.

House Manners: He is fully potty trained and crate trained.

Adventure Ready: He absolutely loves car rides, knows exactly how to hop in and out on his own, and is a champ on walks with great leash manners.

Friendly Alert System: He will let out a bark to let you know someone is at the door, but he greets every single guest with a friendly, welcoming attitude.

Smart & Coachable: Oakley is highly food-motivated and very smart. He already knows “sit” and “give paw,” and he has a ton of potential for further training.

Oakley is a very big boy with a big personality. He can also be very stubborn and likes to test boundaries, so he needs a confident, experienced handler who will set clear expectations and consistently reinforce them. He does best with someone who understands that he cannot be allowed to run the household or make the rules. Firm, fair, consistent leadership will be important for Oakley to continue being the best version of himself.

At 4 years old, he still gets bursts of puppy-like energy. Because of his 90+ lb frame, his excitement can feel like a lot! He can also be quite vocal and has a loud voice when he wants to express himself.

Oakley is looking for someone who will give him plenty of love while also providing the structure, boundaries, and continued training he needs. 💙

🐾💕 If you’re looking for a tiny, adorable velcro kitty who would prefer to be attached to you 24/7, Poppy is your girl! 😻

Poppy is a petite 5 month old kitten with the sweetest little personality and one very special talent… she never stops popcorning! 🥹🐱 Her paws are constantly bouncing with excitement, and she even does her little popcorn dance while she walks. And that’s exactly how she got her name! 🍿💕

Poppy may be a little shy and scared when she first meets you, so she’ll need a quiet room where she can feel safe while she gets settled. Give her a few days, some patience, and a little love, and you’ll soon discover the affectionate little lovebug underneath.

Once she warms up, she wants to be WITH YOU. ALL. THE. TIME. 😂 She’ll follow you around, cuddle up beside you, and even give you sweet little love nips on the nose. 😘

She takes a few days to warm up to other cats, too, but once she feels comfortable, she LOVES playing with them! 🐾 She also absolutely loves her scratching post and is a pro at using her litter box. She is very diligent about covering her business, though, so a covered/lidded litter box is a must! 😂

And then there’s Poppy’s… unique bathroom habit. 🚽🤣
She will happily keep you company while you’re on the toilet, but if you leave the bathroom, she may decide to jump right into the toilet herself! So in Poppy’s forever home, toilet lids MUST stay closed. 😂

Poppy is sweet, silly, affectionate, playful, and just a little bit quirky—which is exactly what makes her so lovable. 💗

🐾💙 MEET PUGLAS! 💙🐾

4 years old • 16 lbs • Pug

Puglas—also known as Pugsley or Puggles—is quite possibly one of the sweetest little guys you’ll ever meet. 🥹 It’s honestly hard to believe someone could willingly leave this precious boy behind, but that’s exactly what happened when his owners moved.

Puglas is an absolute dream! He is sweet, affectionate, playful, and incredibly well-mannered. He is fantastic with kids and dog friendly too, making him an easy addition to just about any family. He loves being close to his people and would happily be your little shadow.

He is potty trained and would definitely prefer to sleep with you, but he is perfectly happy sleeping in his kennel too. He’s also a little car-riding pro! 🚗🐾 He hops in, sits down, and eventually stretches out for the ride like he’s been doing it his whole life.

His foster mom is completely smitten with him. ❤️

🐾❤️ MEET REDFOX! ❤️🐾

Redfox is a 1-year-old, 39 lb Husky mix who is goofy, lovable, incredibly gentle, and ready to find his forever home! 🥰

Redfox is the kind of dog who makes everyone around him smile. He is dog friendly, kid friendly, house trained, crate trained, and walks well on leash. He listens very well and takes correction beautifully.

His foster's 3-year-old daughter is absolutely obsessed with him and has lovingly nicknamed him her “Freaky.” 😂❤️ She loves getting him to chase her around, and Redfox is incredibly gentle with her. He is the perfect example of a goofy young dog who knows how to be careful with little ones.

Redfox has some really impressive manners for a young Husky mix. He doesn't go upstairs unless he is invited, and he stays off the furniture. On occasion, he may hop up, but when he is told to get off, he listens and hops right back down. He truly wants to please his people and responds well to guidance.

Like any young dog, Redfox still has a little puppy behavior to work through. He can get mouthy with playful puppy nibbles, but he takes correction well and is learning what is and isn’t appropriate. He may also occasionally decide a wooden chair looks like a fun chew toy. 😂

Redfox would absolutely love a home with another dog. He is hoping for a fur friend who can keep him company and give him someone to play with. 🐶❤️

This sweet, goofy boy has such a wonderful combination of playful puppy personality, gentle nature, and good manners. He’s ready for a family who will continue guiding him while giving him all the love he deserves.

These babies are 6 weeks old, spending 11-9 outside while the finder is at work and sleeping in a garage with a fan at night.

Their finder has been doing their best, but these puppies deserve to be safe, comfortable, and growing up in a loving home, not spending most of their day outside.

⚡️⚡️ THE FLASH HAS ENTERED THE CHAT! ⚡️⚡️

Move over, Barry Allen… there’s a new Flash in town, and this one has four legs, a bully-mix face, and the most amazing lightning-bolt tail you’ve ever seen! ⚡️

Flash is 12 weeks old, weighs 17 pounds, and is basically a tiny superhero in training. His special power? Following his people EVERYWHERE. When it’s just Flash and his foster mom at home, he sticks to her like a furry little sidekick. 🦸‍♂️🐾

He’s great with kids, crate trained as long as everyone follows his schedule, and he’s already working on his superhero skills—sit, come, and fetch are all on his training agenda!

Of course, Flash does have a little puppy mischief in his repertoire. The second he gets out of his crate, he is READY FOR ACTION! There will be playing, zoomies, and the occasional completely normal puppy nipping because apparently superhero training includes learning how to use your teeth appropriately. 😂

And then there’s the food situation…

Flash came to us starving, so he learned to SCARF his food like it might disappear if he didn’t eat it at super speed. He has improved tremendously, but a slow feeder may still be helpful while he learns an important lesson: Flash, buddy… YOU ARE FED NOW. Your belly is going to stay full. The food is not running away. 😂❤️

His lightning-bolt tail may be his biggest quirk, but his sweet personality is what really makes him special.

Flash is a good boy, a fun puppy, a professional shadow, and clearly destined for greatness.

His only weakness? Probably anyone who says, “Who’s a good boy?” because he will immediately report for duty. ⚡️🐶

🐾💙 NOW PRESENTING… MOOSE! 🫎💙🐾

Meet Moose, a 15-week-old, 20 lb Shepherd mix who has officially entered his charming gremlin era. 😂👹💙

Moose is feisty, bossy, fearless, playful, and VERY confident. He has never met a boundary he didn’t think was merely a suggestion. 😂 He plays hard, wrestles harder, and when he finally runs out of steam, he crashes like someone unplugged him. 😴💤

BUT… don’t let all that gremlin talk fool you. 💙

Moose has also started to chill out and show his sweet side. He is an absolute snuggle bug who loves his people and is more than happy to curl up for cuddles when he isn’t busy getting into puppy mischief. He can go from playful little tornado to cuddled up getting belly rubs in no time. 😂💙

🫎 WHY MOOSE?

His name has a story. 💙

Before this little guy came into her life, Moose’s case manager tried to help another dog named Moose. He had been pushed outside while he was very sick and unable to stand. She picked him up and rushed him to the ER, where it was discovered that he had antifreeze poisoning and was suffering from seizures.

Despite every effort to help him, he was later humanely euthanized. Without someone stepping in, he would have faced a slow, lonely death outside.

He deserved so much more. 💔

Then, weeks later, this little guy came into her life.

And the moment she saw him, it just clicked.

He was Moose.

There was never another name. He was always Moose. 🫎💙

So this little Moose carries the spirit and memory of the Moose who deserved so much more. His name is a reminder that his life matters—and that he gets the chance to have the happy ending the other Moose never got.

Now, this Moose is looking for his perfect home. 🥹💙

Because Moose is still a playful puppy with plenty of energy, another playful, dog-friendly pup or young dog would be ideal. He would love having a canine buddy to wrestle, chase, play with, and help him burn off some of that puppy energy. 🐕🐕😂

Moose is expected to be a 60+ lb Shepherd-type dog, so we’re looking for a family who is ready for all the fun, training, socialization, and structure that comes with raising a Shepherd puppy. 💙
