Expanding Flow Testing Capabilities

Did you know that at the TDC, we're not limited to just a few pipe sizes? Our continuous loops can handle pipes from 5” to 12”, and we're equipped to push tools through strings of various sizes, including 8”, 16”, 20”, 24”, and soon 40” tools! Experimentation Station: TDC Simulates Heated Pipe Coating!

The TDC is buzzing with activity today! We're constructing test spools and carefully machining defects into them for a heated pipe-coating demonstration.

Here's the plan:
>Seal and heat the pipes to 180°F and 250°F, simulating real-world process temperatures.
>Apply pipe coating to see if it remains effective at these elevated temperatures.
>Conduct NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) to ensure the coating doesn't hinder flaw detection.

TDC Innovation: Unveiling Our Custom Leak Detection Spool!

Leaks Don't Stand a Chance! At the TDC, we're constantly innovating leak detection solutions. Today, we put our custom-made leak detection spool to work in a 12" flow string.

Simulating All Leak Types:

This ingenious spool allows us to meticulously control leak flow rates, enabling the testing of leak detection tools across a broad spectrum of scenarios, from tiny pinholes to complete ruptures. We utilized various or***ce nozzles to simulate different leak sizes.

The TDC is pushing boundaries! This week, we're running smart ILI (In-Line Inspection) tools through a unique 8" & 10" combination flow loop we custom-built. Three spools equipped with diverse flaws are challenging these tools to their limit.
