Women Outreach Service of Texas serves families in crisis by connecting them with life-saving resources, including emergency counseling and mental health referrals.
Our focus remains helping survivors of domestic violence with immediate needs (often while they care for their at risk children).Our clients can show up empty-handed after fleeing severe harm, lacking basic necessities such as hygiene products and even a single change of clothes.
To help guide them in longer-term recovery , we also connect our families with support education and advocacy groups. The organization helps women and children whose lives have been shattered.
In 2019 the organization aided three hundred families in the Houston Texas , Harris County and surrounding areas with resources such as clothing , bus passes, Walmart,Costco, and Target gift cards, and emergency shelter which allow excess to computers and other resources.
