-Minimize Use: Please hold off on running washing machines, dishwashers, or taking prolonged showers leading up to the shut-off.

Firefighters and agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries assisted in the process of rescuing people trapped in their homes due to rising water in Avoyelles Parish Thursday.
