The Guild Shop is proud to support the YMCA Houston ForeverWell program as a Guild Shop grant awardee!

The YMCA ForeverWell program helps adults 55+ stay active, connected, and engaged. We’re grateful to participate alongside this wonderful community and see firsthand the friendships, wellness, and joy it creates. The Guild Shop community loves participating in Holiday Luncheons and having an active role in BINGO!

At YMCA ForeverWell, they know that connection is essential to aging well. Community helps combat isolation, create meaningful friendships, and support older adults in feeling connected, valued, and part of something bigger.

We will be open this Saturday 9:30-3:30 — BUT we will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th. 😊😎😊

🏡 The Guild Shop is honored to support The Turning Point Center Houston as a 2026 Grantee!

Nearly a decade ago, CNN brought national attention to this remarkable Houston organization. Today, its mission continues: providing a safe haven, dignity, and essential support to seniors experiencing homelessness as they work toward stability and independence.

🏆 Guild Shop Awardee 2026! 🏆

We are so proud to recognize Houston Area Parkinson Society - Houston Area Parkinson Society for the incredible work they are doing to support, educate, and advocate for those affected by Parkinson’s disease.

HAPS is helping create greater awareness and understanding of Parkinson’s throughout our community through educational programs, expert-led lectures, support groups, outreach, and therapeutic classes.

Their work also helps shine a light on the reality of living with Parkinson’s — while reminding people that a diagnosis does not define a person or take away the possibility of living a full and meaningful life.

What a fantastic organization doing such meaningful work right here in Houston and helping advance Parkinson’s awareness, especially in our senior community and far beyond. We are honored to support HAPS and their mission to ensure no one faces a Parkinson’s diagnosis alone.

We are honored to recognize Amazing Place as a recipient of a Guild Shop grant!

Amazing Place truly lives up to its name—creating a welcoming, purposeful community where adults living with dementia can stay engaged, connected and supported, while their caregivers receive the education, resources and respite they so deeply need.

“Through their Day Program, participants enjoy creative and cultural arts, fitness, recreational therapy, cognitive activities, social connection, nutritious meals and even excursions throughout Houston. But their impact reaches far beyond the day program. Amazing Place provides caregiver education and support, care navigation, brain-health programs and, importantly, tuition assistance for families who otherwise might not be able to afford this vital care.” See website

Celebrating another meaningful Guild Shop Grant award!

We’re so happy to support the Institute for Spirituality and Health at the Texas Medical Center ISH through a Guild Shop Grant!

This funding will help provide trained and certified volunteers to offer compassionate spiritual care to marginalized older adults and seniors living in long-term residential care facilities—bringing comfort, connection, guidance, and meaningful companionship to those experiencing social isolation and seeking spiritual support as they face end-of-life transitions.

We’re grateful to know this organization and helping their mission grow, ensuring that more seniors can experience connection, compassion, and spiritual care when they need it most.

By providing transportation and other essential services, Senior Rides and More helps older adults remain connected to their communities while promoting senior independent living, health, and safety.

Sometimes the most meaningful help comes in the most delicate forms.

As we age, we gain wisdom—and we also learn that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

St. Vincent’s House in Galveston has reminded us of just how important everyday personal-care necessities are for older adults, and how easily these essential items can be overlooked or out of reach.

We’re proud to provide a grant to St. Vincent’s House in support of the Galveston Diaper Bank, helping ensure that seniors have access to the dignity, comfort, and essentials they deserve.
