Last night we had an amazing speaker! Suzanne Simpson taught us about the importance of disturbance in some ecologies, and how different kinds of disturbances work. We also heard about a few places in Texas where incredibly niche and rare plants grow specifically because they have an unusual and unusually undisturbed ecology. Her sense of humor throughout was just another highlight!
