A healthy red snapper stock should mean more opportunity for anglers, not more frustration.

Yesterday’s court decision puts a pause on innovative state-led pilot programs that aimed to improve data collection, modernize management and expand reasonable access to South Atlantic red snapper. The result? Uncertainty for anglers, for-hire operators and coastal communities that were ready for the season to begin.

We remain committed to science-based fisheries management that balances conservation with access and supports the businesses and communities that depend on recreational fishing.

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗙 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 🚨 Last Wednesday,
CCA Louisiana put new habitat in the water at the Rawls Reef Complex in Vermilion Block 119 — building reef pyramids where an offshore platform used to stand. THIS IS THEIR 4TH REEF OF 2026. Four reefs. Less than five months. That's what public-private partnership looks like in Louisiana. This reef made possible by: ✅Shell ✅Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries ✅Building Conservation Trust ✅danos ✅Reefmaker

It was so difficult to choose, it took us a whole week to decide! After much debate, we’ve selected our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners! 🏆 Thank you to everyone who entered — we truly can’t say enough how much we loved seeing all the amazing pups from our CCA community!!
