We’re officially just 2 weeks away from the Houston WALK to End Hydrocephalus!

Teams are fundraising. Ambassador posters are being made. T-shirts are getting ready. And behind the scenes, we’re putting all the pieces together for a great morning at TMC Helix Park.

Sunday, September 20, is WORLD HYDROCEPHALUS DAY — a day for our community around the world to raise awareness, share our stories and help more people understand what it means to live with hydrocephalus.

And here in Houston, we're turning that awareness into action.

In just 4 weeks, we'll come together at the Houston WALK to End Hydrocephalus—to WALK for our children, our friends, our families, ourselves, and everyone whose life has been touched by hydrocephalus.

This weekend, help us spread the word. 💙

WEAR blue.
LIGHT UP your social media in blue.
REGISTER for the Houston WALK.
INVITE someone new to WALK with you.

And Sunday night (9/20), Houston City Hall will be shining BLUE in recognition of World Hydrocephalus Day! 💙

Come be part of the picture! We’d love to fill the steps with our Houston hydrocephalus community. Meet us at City Hall around 7:20 PM at sunset for a community photo in front of the blue lights. Bring your family, your friends and, of course, wear your BLUE! 💙📸

Then we’ll keep that momentum going all the way to WALK day!

September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month, and there’s no better time to help more people understand hydrocephalus—and invite them to WALK alongside us.

For many of us, hydrocephalus is part of everyday life. But there are still so many people who have never heard of it.

This month, you can help change that.

💙 SHARE something about your hydrocephalus journey.
💙 INVITE a friend or family member to join your WALK team.
💙 REGISTER if you haven’t already.
💙 FUNDRAISE to help support research, education, advocacy, and support for our community.

And then, in just 5 weeks, we’ll bring all of that awareness together when our Houston hydrocephalus community takes over TMC Helix Park!

The countdown is ON! We are officially just 6 weeks away from the Houston WALK to End Hydrocephalus!

Right now, we have:

💙 120 registered participants
🎯 And room for A LOT more Hydro Heroes!

If you’re planning to join us on WALK day, please make sure you’re registered! You can register as an individual, join an existing team, or create a Family Team of your own.

Registration helps us plan for WALK day—and, just as importantly, makes sure you receive important event information and updates as October 17 gets closer.

The WALK is so much more than a fundraiser. 🧐We noticed that a few of our Houston WALK to End Hydrocephalus registrations include multiple participants but aren't connected to a team. If that's you, there's a good chance the "Create a Team" step was simply missed during registration—and that's an easy fix!

Whether you're registering your family, friends, or coworkers, creating a team makes it easier to fundraise together and celebrate your impact on WALK day.
