Last night, CCA President and CEO Pat Murray joined President Donald Trump and leaders from across the nation’s recreational fishing and outdoor industries at the White House as the President signed the “Restoring American Saltwater Angling and Recreation” Executive Order.

The order establishes a national policy to elevate marine recreational fishing in federal fisheries management and directs federal agencies to pursue better data and more modern management approaches, strengthen State-Federal partnerships, remove unnecessary barriers to access and advance innovative solutions for American anglers.

“We’re grateful the Administration has taken this opportunity to emphasize the social and economic importance of recreational fishing,” Murray said. “State-based management has never been more important for our federal fisheries, and we applaud this critical need being highlighted in this Executive Order.”

CCA is proud to have a seat at the table alongside leaders in the recreational fishing community as decisions affecting America’s anglers, fisheries and coastal communities are made. To read more, please click here. https://bit.ly/3TfJy3o
