Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month
September is Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month,a time to increase understanding of spinal cord injuries, promote accessibility and inclusion, support continued research, and recognize the resilience and achievements of people living with SCI.
Approximately 18,000 new spinal cord injuries occur annually in the United States, and more than 300,000 Americans are currently living with an SCI.
