It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Denise Mary Venturini-South, founder of Cape Hope.
Denise dedicated many years of her life to advocating for individuals and families experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in Cape May County. Her passion for serving those facing difficult circumstances helped bring attention to needs within our community and laid the foundation for the work that Cape Hope continues today. While Denise's journey with Cape Hope came to an end last year when she retired from Cape Hope so that she could continue her life passion of helping others in other areas, we will forever recognize and honor the vision, compassion, dedication, and determination she demonstrated in establishing Cape Hope and championing those who often had no voice. Her commitment to helping others will remain a part of Cape Hope's history and legacy.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, volunteers/staff and all those whose lives have been touched by Cape Hope's mission, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Denise's family, friends, and loved ones during this time of loss.
We ask our community to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
May Denise rest in peace with our Lord.
