Fresh fruit and vegetable boxes were distributed with Knock Out Opioid Abuse Day stickers provided by Cape Assist, helping to share an important message throughout our community.

Caring for Kids, Inc. is proud to be a Parents as Teachers Blue Ribbon Affiliate, recognized among New Jersey programs for meeting high standards of quality and excellence.

This week, Caring for Kids is represented at PATCON26 in Portland, Oregon, where Parents as Teachers affiliates and professionals from across the country are coming together to learn, connect and strengthen their work with children and families.

Representing Caring for Kids are Anita Shelton, Diana Diaz and Rose Chico. We’re also proud to celebrate Anita as she is recognized for her 20-year milestone with Parents as Teachers.

Proud to represent Cape May County and the families we serve on a national stage!

A milestone anniversary and recognition for local youth advocates brought the community together in Cape May Court House on September 10.

Caring For Kids NJ’ sold-out Safe & Sound Fundraiser marked 25 years of service to children and families across Cape May County. The evening honored Chrissy Casiello and Josh Mercado of No Limits Boxing Academy Community Impact Awards and featured a look back at the organization’s history.

Community leaders and supporters attended, including Congressman Jeff Van Drew, who offered brief remarks.

Tonight was a beautiful reminder of what community impact truly looks like.

For 25 years, Caring for Kids has been part of this community, and tonight we saw what happens when nonprofits stand together, community leaders show up, businesses invest in the work, and neighbors support neighbors.

We were especially proud to honor Chrissy Casiello and Josh Mercado of No Limits Academy with our Community Impact Awards.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Middle Township Committeeman Jim Norris and Cape May County Commissioner Patrick Rosenello for standing with Caring for Kids in honoring Chrissy and Josh and recognizing the meaningful impact they are making in the lives of children and families throughout our community.

We were also honored to have Congressman Jeff Van Drew recognize Chrissy and Josh with Congressional proclamations commemorating their service and contributions to our community.

A special thank you to Sturdy Savings Bank, our Presenting Sponsor, and to OceanFirst Bank, Dr. Denton & Barbara Stewart, O.C.E.A.N., Inc., Marsh McLennan Agency, First Baptist Church of Whitesboro and Next Gen 30 for believing in our mission and supporting this milestone celebration.

We were proud to have fellow nonprofits Coalition Against R**e & Abuse (CARA), Cape Assist, Next Gen 30 and Concerned Citizens of Whitesboro with us.

Each organization serves our community in its own way, and seeing local nonprofits come together in one room was a powerful reflection of the strength of Cape May County.
