June connected us to Starfish Equine Rescue and also led to the adoptions of our horses Rip, Beth, and Moon-and also indirectly connected us to Jak!

We’re passing the braid to Starfish Equine Rescue to share your connection with horses. Create a braid, tell your story, pass it on. Let’s keep the braid moving through October!

Brantley S.- My name is Brantley, I am 8 years old and this is my horse Emerson, who is 25 years old. I got Emerson this past April from our local horse rescue, and he is my best friend. Emerson is dressed as a piñata, and I am dressed in my sombrero! My mom hand made Emerson’s costume. Winning the contest would be so much fun, and I’d love to get a custom belt buckle!
