We all empathize with individuals starting out in obedience training, and we strive to make the experience a positive one for both owner and dog. Please be mindful of your dogs in this heat! ☀️🐾

Hot weather can become dangerous very quickly. Here are a few important safety tips:

• Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
• Walk your dog during the early morning or evening when temperatures are lower.
• Avoid hot pavement—it can burn your dog’s paw pads.
• Never leave your dog in a parked car, even for a few minutes.
• Watch for signs of heat exhaustion, including excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or lethargy.
• Make sure your dog has access to shade and a cool place to rest.

Let’s all do our part to keep our furry friends safe, healthy, and happy this summer! ❤️🐶
