The Interact Club came and shared with us Thursday about their community pantry project they are spearheading. They aim to aide the community by bringing them a pantry filled with goods and food so no one goes with out. We have left to right Eclipse an outbound exchange student next year, Interact President Oceana, Violet, and Aya. All joined by Rotatrian Cara McNulty & Club President Lee McPhereson.

As a club we are so proud of how hard our Interact team works to do good in this community and spread our Rotary mission to the younger generation. Side note, nice hoodies you guys! 😎

There’s something powerful about showing up on a Saturday morning, not for ourselves, but for others.

This weekend, members of Hood River Rotary gave their time to volunteer as timers for a Masters swim meet. No spotlight, no recognition needed. Just a willingness to serve.

It’s a simple act that reflects one of the guiding principles we live by in Rotary. Of the things we think, say, or do…
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Volunteering reminds us that impact doesn’t always come from grand gestures. It often comes from consistency, reliability, and a quiet commitment to helping others succeed. Every lap timed, every athlete supported, every moment given adds up to something meaningful.

And the truth is, service doesn’t just benefit those we help. It strengthens our community. It connects us. It gives purpose to our time and perspective to our lives.

Grateful to be part of a club that continues to live out the Four-Way Test in real, tangible ways.
