2026 aTEAM SURVIVOR SCHOLARSHIP UPDATE!

Maize recently shared with us, "My first semester has been great so far. I have really been enjoying my Calculus class and have been making some friends in my engineering classes."

We are so proud to be a small part of Maize's college journey at the University of South Alabama and are praying the Lord would continue to help him thrive in all aspects! Go Maize!

In September, we focused on sharing the stories behind each gold ribbon to help spread awareness for pediatric cancer. Now, we’re asking you to become part of one of those stories by helping make Christmas wishes a reality. ❤️💚

This year, more than ever, many families are feeling the financial pressures of the holiday season. Pair that with the emotional and financial strain of walking through a pediatric cancer journey, and a season that is meant to be filled with joy and God’s goodness can instead bring fear, stress, and uncertainty. That’s where you can make a difference.

aTeam is looking for individuals, families, groups, and organizations to sponsor a family this Christmas—helping ease some of that uncertainty and reminding families that they are cared for, supported, and loved.

🎗EVERY GOLD RIBBON HAS A STORY🎗...

Finley was diagnosed on February 27, 2025 with leukemia. She just turned 6 when we noticed her eyes were swollen and we were sent to the emergency room. We received the news she had cancer. Our lives were changed! She has always looked on the bright side of things from the beginning. She told me the day of diagnosis at least I don’t have brain cancer. She has fought hard and is unbelievably brave. She has been through so much in her 7 years but she keeps on going. She loves axolotl and cheer/dance!! She is in the 1st grade.

Finley carries incredible perspective and courage, even in the middle of something so difficult. This month, we’re celebrating her strength, her joyful spirit, and the little things that make her uniquely Finley and asking our aTeam community to keep her close in prayer as she continues to fight so bravely.

Saturday's top scorers included Grant McCraney and Lane Brooks taking home 1st place, Cole Nelson taking home 2nd, Chance Como and Andrew K***z for 3rd, and Eli Kirkland winning the Big Fish! Welcome Baskets mean more than just the goodies that fill them---they serve as a reminder to families that they are seen, supported, and not alone as they navigate an immensely challenging journey.
Thank you so much to the wonderful ladies of Luverne Church of Christ "Caring and Sharing" Class for making these generous baskets our Home Away from Home apartments!
