We had a precious little visitor come by our office yesterday on his way HOME!

This BRAVE guy has spent the last 7 months going from the aTeam Home Away From Home apartments to the hospital and back. Yesterday, he finally got to return home. We love Daniel and his family (Steven Blackmon and Whitney Springer Blackmon) and are so thankful they get to go home.

📚✏️ Packed with Love is BACK!

As we enjoy making sweet summer memories, we are also preparing for our upcoming Packed with Love school supplies drive to help children in our childhood cancer community start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

As families balance appointments, treatments, and the everyday challenges that come with childhood cancer, providing school supplies helps give parents one less thing to think about as the school year approaches.

Whether you're a family seeking school supplies or a volunteer who would like to help pack and distribute backpacks, we'd love for you to be part of this special time!

Meet our 2026 Scholarship Recipients! 🎓✨

We are so proud of each of these students. They have shown incredible resilience, and strength in their own ways through their experience with childhood cancer. It is an honor to celebrate their accomplishments and invest in their futures. We can't wait to see all they achieve in the years ahead.

Sibling Scholarship Recipients:

Luke C. is the brother to Sam who is a survivor of Leukemia. Luke was 9 years old when Sam was diagnosed and remembers the changes that took place during that time. Luke graduated from Vestavia Hills High School and will pursue a degree at Auburn University next year while enjoying being roommates with his brother Sam.

Zac C. is also the brother to Sam. He, too, was 9 years old when Sam was diagnosed. Walking through that experience alongside Sam shaped who he is today. Zac graduated from Vestavia Hills High School and will attend Auburn University in the fall.

Survivor Scholarship Recipients:

Maize L. is a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He was diagnosed in 2021 and then relapsed in 2022. He is a graduate of Thomasville High School and will pursue a degree in aerospace engineering at the University of South Alabama in the fall.

Madison M. is a survivor of Leukemia. She was diagnosed at just 6 years old and fought fearlessly for her life. Madison graduated from Pelham High School and will attend Troy University in the fall.

Avery S. is a survivor or Leukemia. She was diagnosed in 2012 at just 4 years old. Avery graduated from Hewitt-Trussville High School and will be attending The University of Alabama in the fall.

Congrats to all 5 of this year's scholarship recipients!

May we rest in the certainty of His unfailing love.
