🇺🇸 Join us as we celebrate America’s 250th Birthday at the Sweet Home 250 Festival at American Village on July 3rd!

From 4:00–4:30 p.m., Darryl Fuhrman, founder and president of Lettermen of the USA, will present “From the Playing Field to Serving Those Who Served.”

A former University of Alabama football player, Darryl will share the inspiring story of how a tornado relief effort grew into a national organization dedicated to serving wounded and honorably discharged veterans. Learn how athletes, coaches, and communities continue to answer the call to serve through the mission of Lettermen of the USA.

Come be inspired by a story of leadership, compassion, and commitment to those who have sacrificed for our country.

Good afternoon , Lettermen of the USA and supporters! 🇺🇸
Your support does more than fund a mission.
It restores dignity. It creates opportunity. And it offers hope.
The funds raised help Lettermen of the USA continue its legacy — strengthening our communities, supporting veterans and their families, and helping them build fulfilling lives long after they have hung up their uniforms.
On behalf of Lettermen of the USA, our veterans, and their families across Alabama — thank you for standing with us.

Good morning, Lettermen of the USA and supporters! 🇺🇸
And let us not forget the families.
Spouses and children often carry the unseen weight of transition — facing emotional strain, marital challenges, and mental health struggles of their own.
When families are overlooked, the cost is profound.
With your support, we can ensure that no veteran — and no family — walks this path alone.

Don’t Let Yourself Be Distracted from the Celestial City ✨
In John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, the road to the Celestial City passes straight through Vanity Fair — a noisy marketplace of every worldly temptation designed to pull pilgrims off course.
The merchants are still shouting today through our screens, careers, notifications, and endless distractions. But nothing this world offers is worth missing the gates of Heaven.
You’ve got to get to Heaven.
Everything else is secondary.
As the Christian founder and president of Lettermen of the USA, I’m reminded daily that our true identity isn’t in titles, work, or success — it’s in being a follower of Jesus Christ.
Every decision matters.
No neutral ground.
Keep walking toward the City of God.

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the people You place in our lives whose character leaves a lasting impact. Thank You for men who lead with integrity, humility, and faithfulness, and for the families who support and strengthen them.

We are grateful for the memories, friendships, and lessons learned through teammates, mentors, coaches, and friends. Thank You for examples of perseverance, kindness, and first-class character that inspire others long after the games are over.
We especially thank You for Raymond Berry and his family. Bless them with Your peace, strength, and continued grace. Thank You for the influence they have had on so many lives and for the example of character, respect, and excellence they have demonstrated through the years.

Help us to be people who encourage others, honor our commitments, and live with humility and gratitude. May we never take for granted the relationships and experiences that enrich our lives.
Guide us each day to reflect Your love, show kindness to those around us, and leave a positive legacy for those who follow.

In Jesus' name,
Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Today we lift up the family, friends, teammates, and loved ones of Keith Marks. Our hearts are heavy as we mourn his passing and grieve the loss of a son, a friend, a teammate, and a member of the Alabama family.
Lord, we pray especially for Coach Bobby Marks and his family. Surround them with Your comfort, strength, and peace during this time of unimaginable sorrow. Hold them close when the days feel overwhelming, and remind them that they do not walk through this valley alone.

We thank You for Keith's life, for the relationships he built, the memories he created, and the impact he made on those who knew him. We are grateful that he had the opportunity to play the game he loved alongside his father, creating moments and memories that will forever be treasured.

As family and friends gather to remember Keith, may they find comfort in one another, strength in their faith, and hope in Your promises. Let the stories, laughter, and love they shared with him be a source of healing in the days ahead.

Lord, grant peace to every grieving heart. May Your presence bring comfort where there is pain, hope where there is sadness, and light where there is darkness.

We ask for Your grace and mercy to sustain all who loved Keith, and we pray that his memory will continue to be a blessing to those whose lives he touched.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.

82 Years Since D-Day — We Will Never Forget

On June 6, 1944, thousands of young Americans stepped off landing craft into the fires of Normandy. Many never made it home.
Today, on the 82nd anniversary, we honor their courage and sacrifice.
Two years ago, Lettermen of the USA helped send three brave Alabama WWII veterans — Howard Polin, Otis Brannon, and Arthur Hullett — back to Normandy for the 80th anniversary. Standing once again on those historic beaches was a moment we’ll never forget.
Watch their powerful story set to the #1 song of 1944, “We’ll Meet Again”:

To every veteran of D-Day and World War II — thank you. Your sacrifice secured the freedom we enjoy today.
We will never forget.

Good morning, Lettermen of the USA 🇺🇸and supporters,

While resources and programs exist across our country, too often they are difficult to access, poorly understood, or simply unknown to the very people who need them most.

Lettermen of the USA is dedicated to changing that reality — by guiding veterans and their families through these complex systems, connecting them to critical services, and, just as importantly, restoring hope.
We walk alongside them every step of the way. Whether it’s helping secure stable housing, accessing healthcare and rehabilitation, supporting mental health needs, or simply being present during the hard transition back to civilian life — we are there.

Tragically, far too many veterans are lost each year not because they lacked courage, but because they lacked opportunity, resources, and support.
We believe, just as on the battlefield, we never leave our own behind.

Good morning, Lettermen and supporters! 🇺🇸
Many veterans face invisible battles after service — mental health challenges, physical injuries, and the difficult journey of reintegration into civilian life.
Lettermen of the USA helps bridge that gap so they don’t have to fight alone. We guide them through complex systems, connect them to critical resources, and most importantly, restore hope.
Because on the battlefield and at home — we never leave our own behind.

Good morning, Lettermen of the USA 🇺🇸 and supporters! 🇺🇸
Lettermen of the USA was founded to stand in the gap during crisis.
What started with natural disasters is now a lasting commitment to Alabama’s veterans and their families. One Yard at a Time.
15 years ago, in the rubble and devastation like you see in this powerful image, our mission was born — and it continues stronger than ever today.
