@🚒🎶 If you’re not at Answer the Call in Trussville right now… you are missing out!

We just had an incredible moment as Lexi Bresnan, daughter of the late Fire Chief John Bresnan, who was lost in the line of duty in 2020, took the stage and absolutely brought the house down singing the National Anthem. 🇺🇸

Lexi, you absolutely killed it. We are so proud of you and so grateful you were here with us tonight. Your performance meant more than words can say.

If you’re not here yet, there’s still time to join us! VIP tickets are still available, and the bands are outstanding. Come out, support a great cause, and be part of something special.

We hope to see you soon! 🚨

🚨 FIRE ALERT: NO BURNING THIS WEEKEND 🚨

Chiefs and neighbors,

The Alabama Forestry Commission has officially issued a Fire Alert for all of Central and North Alabama, effective immediately through Sunday night.

We’re looking at a "perfect storm" of low humidity, extremely dry fuels, and increased wind speeds. In these conditions, it doesn't take a lightning strike to start a disaster—a single spark from a dragging trailer chain or an unattended charcoal grill can put our communities and our firefighters at serious risk.

What you need to know:

No Outdoor Burning: All permits for debris and agricultural burning are suspended. This includes trash piles and campfires.

Equipment Safety: If you’re hauling a trailer, ensure your chains are secured and not dragging on the pavement.

Vehicle Hazards: Avoid parking any vehicle in tall, dry grass where the exhaust system could ignite a fire.

Report Smoke Early: If you see smoke, don't assume someone else has called it in. Report it to 911 immediately so our crews can get on it while it’s still small.

Let’s work together to keep our boots on the pavement and our woods out of the line of fire this weekend. We appreciate your help in keeping Central Alabama safe.

Stay safe,

Central Alabama Fire Chiefs Association (CAFCA)
