Members of the Birmingham Service League recently enjoyed a festive Christmas lunch at Farrelly’s filled with great food and holiday cheer. The gathering was highlighted by a fun Frosty the Snowman ornament-passing game that sent everyone home with a unique keepsake.

The Birmingham Service League recently held our final Clothes for Class Shoppers event of the fall season at Old Navy in Grand River Outlets, serving students from Smith Middle School.
Through this program, middle school students receive a $150 allowance to shop for school-appropriate clothing of their choice, supported by family members and BSL volunteers. Many head straight to the sale and clearance racks, learning to be thrifty shoppers while leaving with bags of new clothes.
We’re grateful to our retail partners and school counselors who help make this program possible.

Our Clothes for Class fall clothing sessions have officially wrapped! What a wonderful and meaningful season it’s been—helping children in our community feel confident, comfortable, and ready to learn through school-appropriate clothing. We are so thankful for our incredible volunteers whose energy, generosity, and heart made every session a success. Your impact is truly felt! We can’t wait to welcome more children and schools when sessions resume in January.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we opened our doors and celebrated this exciting new chapter for Birmingham Service League! We loved welcoming neighbors, friends, and local leaders to learn more about how we serve students and families right here in our community.

💙 Guests explored Encore Thrift Shop, discovering great finds that help fuel our mission.

🎒 Many also learned about Clothes for Class, our program providing essential clothing items to local students in need.

🍷 And of course — the wine, charcuterie, and sweet treats made the evening even more fun!
