We have two exciting Road Runners Club of America Championship events coming up, and there's plenty of time to register for both before the next price increase.

First up on Saturday, October 10th is the Huntsville Track Club's Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15k, which is the RRCA Southern Region 15k Championship. The price goes up on September 29th. Register here: https://runsignup.com/Race/AL/Huntsville/MonteSano15K

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 10 for one of HTC's signature events, the Fleet Feet Monte Sano 15K! This year it's an RRCA Southern Region Championship Race. With awards in open 40+, 50+, and 60+ divisions!

The course is a certified 15K loop through the neighborhood streets around Monte Sano United Methodist Church.

Calling all front of the pack runners.

If you’re planning to race at the front of the pack, there’s another title waiting for you at the finish line.

The Rocket City Marathon is officially the RRCA Alabama State Marathon Championship! And that means a BIG bonus for our fast runners. This year, you’ll have even more to race for with the opportunity to compete for overall, age group AND Alabama State Championship honors!

Winners for this title receive a special state championship medal and recognition across various divisions (Open, 40+ Masters, 50+ Grand Masters, and 60+ Senior Grand Masters) for men and women, compliments of RRCA.

Next Saturday is the deadline for applying a state Championship under Road Runners Club of America!

There are soooo many great races in Alabama! Which ones do you want to see? Race distances can range from the mile to the ultra! Let us know which ones we should watch out. Any tried and true favorites? Fast courses known for PRs? Amazing crowd support? Super awesome after party?

The Woodstock 5K returns to Anniston, AL on August 2, 2025 as the RRCA National 5K Championship, hosted by Anniston Runners Club! This longtime favorite in the Southeast blends fast racing, Southern hospitality, and RRCA Championship prestige.

This month we've got a line up of State Championships - there may be a theme for races in the south this time of year! 🔥

On July 12, join the Chattanooga Track Club for the Tennessee Other Distance Championship at the Scenic City Scorcher 2-Mile race or the Twin City Track Club for the North Carolina 5k Championship, the Cook Medical Beat the Heat 5k.

On July 19, the Arkansas Ultra Running Association is host to the sold out Full Moon 50k in Perryville, AR.
