The USDA Micro-Grants for Food Security Program (MGFSP) is now accepting applications for FY 2026.

This grant supports individuals, nonprofits, and tribal organizations running small-scale gardening, livestock, or herding operations in food-insecure communities. If that sounds like you or someone you know, this could be the funding you’ve been waiting for.

Here’s what you need to know:

- Deadline: June 22, 2026

-Open to: Individuals, nonprofits & tribal organizations

-Eligible: Hawaiʻi, US territories & Pacific island nations

-Up to: $5,000 for eligible projects
