🐾🇺🇸 HONORING K9 ACE — POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE 🇺🇸🐾

Today, we honor K9 Ace of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, a true hero who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting his partner and serving his community.

Ace was shot in the line of duty and lost his leg, but his courage never wavered. His partner was spared, and Ace’s bravery and dedication helped protect the person he trusted and worked beside every day.

Working K9s like Ace don’t ask for recognition. They simply do their job — with unwavering loyalty, courage, and devotion. They run toward danger when others cannot, standing beside their handlers without hesitation.

Ace’s story is a powerful reminder of the incredible sacrifices made by our K9 heroes and the men and women who serve alongside them. 🐕‍🦺💙

Our nonprofit is honored to support working K9s and their handlers, especially during the moments when they need our support the most.

K9 Ace, you are a warrior, a survivor, and a hero.
Thank you for your service, your courage, and your sacrifice. 🇺🇸🐾

Please keep Ace, his handler, and the entire Polk County Sheriff’s Office K9 family in your thoughts.

The 4th Annual PicklePaw for K9’s Pickleball Tournament is coming October 10–11, 2026 at Holua Racquet & Paddle in Keauhou!

Come out for a fun weekend of pickleball while helping support the hardworking K9s of Hawaii Island. All skill levels are welcome, with Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed divisions.
