Golden larches, crisp air, and a trail that has your full attention. 🏔️

November hiking in the mountains hits different once the summer crowds are long gone. Just you, the trail, and whatever the season has left to offer. Who’s still getting out there this month? 🥾

Snow on the saddle. A full day still ahead.

The Dacian™ is a compact fixed blade built to stay close through the work that keeps a ranch moving.

Carried on the belt, ready at a moment’s notice, and made for the jobs that don’t wait for better weather.

The tools behind the story.

Foggy fall mornings at the water's edge are one of those experiences that remind you exactly why you pack heavy and hike far. The view never disappoints when the conditions are moody. 🍁✨

A paper map is still one of the most underrated pieces of fall hiking gear. 🗺️🍂

Cell service gets spotty fast once you're deep in the trees, and October weather can change quickly enough that a wrong turn becomes a real problem. Always carry a physical map of your trail area, know how to read it, and tell someone your route before you head out. 🫡

Built for the West.

Winter arrives differently out here.

The mornings start colder. The wind cuts harder. The days get shorter. But the work remains.

This season, we’re telling the story of the grit, preparation, and self-reliance behind the work of the West and the people who keep showing up to do it.

The work is real. The tools have to be, too. Carried every day. Trusted season after season. Built to earn their place.

Welcome to Winter Ranch.
