The Jefferson College Foundation is proud to announce it has received a $10,000 Adult Literacy Grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

The Jefferson College Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) program will use this funding to help cover high school equivalency testing costs for qualified students, removing a significant financial barrier and creating more opportunities for adult learners to achieve their educational goals.

The grant will support student success, strengthen workforce development efforts, and help advance literacy throughout our community. As the AEL program continues to grow, investments like this help expand access to education and create brighter futures for learners across Jefferson County.

The Jefferson College Foundation extends its sincere gratitude to the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and to the customers who support literacy initiatives through The Yellow Glasses Project and register round-up donations. Your generosity is making a meaningful difference in the lives of adult learners.

The Jefferson College Foundation is excited to work with Enterprise Bank & Trust to host Sip, Support, and Sustain: Afternoon Tea & Legacy Workshop Series. This free series of workshops will be designed for those who want to make a meaningful difference through thoughtful financial and estate planning.

Over tea and refreshments, attendees will learn more about charitable giving, donor-advised funds, estate planning, and ways to leave a lasting legacy for future generations of Jefferson College students.

After a rainy morning, the sun came out for the Jefferson College Foundation Brick Unveiling Luncheon on Friday. Bricks that were purchased during the 2025 academic year and engraved in summer 2025 were unveiled to donors and those honored by the bricks, including Jefferson County 4-H, Laborers' Local 110, and Missouri Community College Association president and CEO Brian Millner, who was the commencement speaker at Jefferson College Go Jeffco last spring.

Nearly 300 guests joined the Jefferson College Foundation on March 28 for this year’s annual auction, raising an incredible $95,000 to support students, an increase from last year’s $83,000.

Proceeds from the evening benefit the Viking Fund, helping provide scholarships, support teaching innovation, enhance technology, and improve programs and facilities across the College.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make a lasting impact for Jefferson College students.
