At GaitWay, our programs were never meant to be short-term. They were built to create lasting relationships, lifelong support, and a place where girls always know they belong.

Life changes. School happens. Jobs happen. People move on to new seasons of life. But one thing we hope our participants always know is this: once a GaitWay Girl, always a GaitWay Girl.

No matter how much time has passed, there will always be a place for them here at the ranch. A safe haven. A familiar face. A quiet place to breathe, reconnect, laugh, cry, or simply just be.

The Dream Catcher Program is built around something so many people are searching for today—genuine connection.

In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, the Dream Catcher Program creates a space where adult women can slow down, show up authentically, and simply be themselves. Through working with the horses, organic conversation, teamwork, and community, participants build confidence, trust, and meaningful relationships with both the horses and each other.

There is no pressure to be perfect here—just a supportive environment where women can grow, connect, and rediscover the value of authentic interaction and community.

The horses have a way of bringing people back to what matters most. And that is exactly what the Dream Catcher Program is all about.

At GaitWay, the Dream Maker Program is so much more than riding horses.

It is a leadership and mentorship program designed to help girls grow into confident, capable, hardworking young women—both in and out of the arena. Through horsemanship, responsibility, teamwork, and hands-on ranch work, our Dream Makers learn what it means to show up, work hard, support others, and believe in themselves.

Dream Makers spend time caring for the horses, learning groundwork and horsemanship skills, helping maintain the ranch, building meaningful friendships, and developing life skills that will follow them far beyond GaitWay. Every lesson at the ranch is designed to build confidence, character, resilience, and responsibility.

The horses may be what first brings them here. But the growth, leadership, and sense of purpose they gain is what changes lives.

And thanks to the support of our community, these opportunities are provided completely free of charge to the families we serve.

One of the greatest lessons horses teach us is what it means to be of service—to put others before yourself, to show up when it matters, and to lead with kindness.

At last week’s horse show, our Dream Makers did exactly that.

Before many of them ever stepped into their own classes, they spent their time leading younger kiddos through the lead-line classes. They stood out in the rain, making sure those little riders felt safe, confident, and celebrated every step of the way.

And the smiles they helped create?
Absolutely priceless.

That’s the kind of leadership we strive to build at GaitWay. Not just great horsewomen—but compassionate, dependable young women who understand that sometimes the most important moments happen when you’re helping someone else shine. 🐎✨
