September is Hunger Action Month and it means a lot to us here at IAM. 💙 Here in Western North Carolina, nearly 30% of adults have worried about where their next meal is coming from. That number is not abstract to us, we see it in the faces of our neighbors every single week.

Through our community pantry and our Mobile Pantry stops across Henderson County, IAM works every day to make sure food reaches our neighbors wherever they are.

For over 40 years this organization has been a steady presence in Henderson County, and that is only possible because of the community that surrounds us. This September we are asking you to join us in taking action. Whether that is a donation, a volunteer hour, or simply spreading the word, it all makes a real difference for our neighbors. 💙

A huge thank you to Tom Berstene, the Knights of Columbus, and the congregation of Immaculate Conception! 💙

When we see those blue bags come through our doors, we know exactly who they're from and it never gets old. Their quarterly food drive has once again delivered over 2,500 pounds of food to IAM.

This is what faithful, committed partnership looks like. Year after year, drive after drive, they show up for our neighbors in a big way. We are so grateful for everything they do and for the trust they place in IAM to carry it forward. Thank you Knights of Columbus and Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church . This community is better because of you. 🙏

🏠 Every home begins with a plan, and so does Building Hope.

Housing stability is about more than having a roof overhead. A safe, stable home helps our neighbors stay connected to work, school, healthcare, and family, and gives them a real chance to regain their footing when life takes an unexpected turn.

Thanks to an incredible challenge grant from Trinity Presbyterian Church - Building Hope has a strong foundation, and now our community has the opportunity to build on it together. 💛

Over the coming weeks we'll be following the build right here, sharing what housing instability looks like in Henderson County and showing what this community can make possible for our neighbors. Stay with us. The blueprint is ready. 💛

Always great to have Jaime R. back at IAM! 💙

Through the NC Health Line and the Hispanic Federation, neighbors can find everything from food banks and free clinics to legal and immigration assistance, prescription help, and so much more. This is what showing up for each other looks like. 🙏

We are so grateful! 💙

A huge thank you to Lake Pointe Landing and their wonderful residents for hosting Bistro Day in support of IAM. This was their first event of this kind since COVID and what a way to bring it back! Raising $2,670 for our neighbors right here in the community. That kind of generosity means everything to us. Thank you Lake Pointe Landing for choosing IAM. We are honored to have such incredible partners by our side. 🙏
