This week our Camp Hope campers went to Fired Up! Lounge to paint pottery and spend time being creative together! We had SO much fun!

Thank you to Fired Up Creative Lounge - Asheville for hosting us! We cannot wait to see what our pottery looks like after it is fired.

Our Camp Hope program runs year round. It provides children and youth ages 7-14 who have experienced or witnessed violence or abuse with monthly activities and a week of summer camp each year. To learn more or to make a referral, please contact Safelight at 828-693-3840.

Our volunteers make our work possible! 💜
Last week we hosted our annual volunteer breakfast. We had so much fun spending time together, digging into Dandelion Cafe catering, and refreshing ourselves on what it means to be a Safelight volunteer. WTZQ Radio also did their morning radio show live from our cafe! Thank you to Mark and Donna for joining us and highlighting just how integral our volunteers are to our organization and to our community.

Thank you to all of our volunteers!

Today is Purple Thursday! 💜

Purple Thursday is a national day of action during Domestic Violence Awareness Month when people wear purple to show support for survivors, honor victims, and raise awareness to end domestic violence. Today, we wear purple to show our support and to remind our communities that support is available.
