Happy 8th barkday to sweet Violet 💜 Violet has been volunteering with Canine Therapy Partners - WNC since 2021. When she is not volunteering, she loves exploring the Carolina mountains with her human and snacking on her favorite treats - chicken jerky!

Check out our PAWS for Reading May schedule at several of the Henderson County, NC Library locations and at the Boys & Girls Club of Henderson County.
*NEW LIBRARY ADDITION: The Saluda Branch is now offering PAWS for Reading Sessions from 4:15 - 5:45pm. The sessions at the Saluda Library will be held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.*
Our programs mission is to reach out to children in the community to provide a positive reading environment between a reluctant or new reader and a therapy dog team for the purpose of promoting the enjoyment and confidence of reading on their own.
Call or stop by one of the Henderson County Libraries listed below to register for a 15-minute reading session with a therapy dog.

Amari, Chester, and Lachiwe spent last Friday at Brevard Middle School visiting with students and teachers before the end of year EOG testing. We are not sure who was happier to see who; the students to see the pups in their classrooms, or our dogs to see smiling faces and receive lots of head pets. A good time was had by all at Brevard Middle School.

"Voice of the Students hosted “Destress with Dogs” at Brevard Middle School, giving students a chance to relax, reset, and feel supported before EOG testing week.
Voice of the Students is a student-led organization in Transylvania County Schools, supported by SparkPoint, CARE Coalition- Transylvania, and TC Strong. Their work helps lift up student voice, mental wellness, peer support, and real moments of connection."

Sending a howlin' 11th birthday to Eldie the Brown Dog! Eldie joined our team in 2024 and loves her Saturday's at the Henderson County, NC Library. When she is not volunteering, she prefers to spend her time playing outside with her sister, a rescue German Shepherd, and begging for treats from anyone and everyone.

Happy 9th Birthday to sweet Penelope 🖤
Penelope and her brother (her shadow shown in the photos) joined CTP-WNC in 2020. The two of them together log over 80 hours a year between visiting local assisted living and rehab facilities as well as some of our youth and adult support facilities.
Thank you for all your support sweet girl, cheers to an extra treat on us!

Walter recently attended the UNC Health Pardee She Slays 5K in Hendersonville. Walter was in his glory once he found out he was not running the race! He was happy to provide encouragement and support to all the racers.

Happy 10th Birthday to Finn the English Cream Golden Retriever 🎉 Finn joined Canine Therapy Partners-WNC in 2024 and loves volunteering at our local libraries and schools.
