What do you get from watching and/or listening to birds?
In 2004, I wrote, “For me, bird-watching is an uplifting and joyful tribute to life. It’s a visual and audible testament to the spirit of life. It touches something deep within; makes my heart beat stronger. Likewise, it reaffirms nature untouched.”
Due to travel plans, I won’t be able to do my traditional Birdathon this year, so I’m calling it, ‘Janice’s non-traditional Flickr Birdathon’.
I have uploaded bird photos onto my Flickr account taken over the past year at various natural places in Montana, including: Benton Lakes National Wildlife Refuge, Warm Springs State Wildlife Management Area, Gates of the Mountains Wilderness Area, Lake Helena Wildlife Management Area, Lewis & Clark County Fairgrounds Pond, Prickly Pear Park in East Helena, Helena Valley Regulating Reservoir, and a few on private property in the Helena Valley.
Would you consider supporting my Birdathon?
The money raised goes towards scholarships for high school graduates and special projects which can instill a connection with birds for us and those around us.
You have options:
Write a check - make payable to: LCAS and send it to me at:
