We were pleased to welcome representatives from Old Glory Landmark - Helena to this week's Helena Exchange Club meeting!

They shared the story behind Helena's giant American flag and gave us a preview of this year's Fourth of July celebration at Centennial Park.

Congratulations to Helena Exchange Club member Vanessa Larson on being named Yellowstone District Exchange Rookie of the Year!

The award was presented at the recent Yellowstone District Exchange Club Convention in Billings. Although Vanessa wasn't able to attend in person, we made sure she was there in spirit—thanks to a photo on Kristin's phone that accompanied us to the front of the room! 📱😄

This award recognizes newer Exchange Club members who have already made a meaningful impact on their club and community through their service, leadership, and commitment. In her short time with the Helena Exchange Club, Vanessa has done exactly that.

As the District Rookie of the Year, Vanessa will now advance to the National Exchange Club Convention, where she will be considered for national recognition.

History was made for Helena yesterday!

Please join us in celebrating a truly remarkable achievement as our home club proudly congratulates Coco Colbert on becoming the first-ever District President from the Exchange Club of Helena to lead the Yellowstone District Exchange Club, representing clubs throughout Montana and Idaho.

This milestone is especially exciting because of the energy, vision, and dedication that Coco brings to the role. As of our immediate past President, she exemplifies the future of Exchange—passionate, service-minded, and committed to strengthening our communities.

We are incredibly proud to see one of our own take on this important leadership role and continue the Exchange mission of inspiring communities to become better places to live through service, leadership, and patriotism.

The Exchange Club mission is larger than our local Helena club. We are part of the Yellowstone District Exchange and the larger National Exchange Club as well.

We are having a great time representing our club at this years Yellowstone District Convention, supporting other clubs, exchanging ideas, and learning how we can better serve and support our community.

We were pleased to welcome Stephanie from Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies The Montana Coalition to this weeks' Exchange Club lunch meeting. Stephanie shared about the organization's mission and the important work they do to support Montana families and children.

At one of our recent lunch meetings, the Helena Exchange Club welcomed Cheyenne from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Montana.

Cheyenne shared more about the life-changing impact mentorship has on local youth and how BBBS helps children build confidence, connections, and brighter futures throughout our communities. Thank you for the important work you do - we are happy to support organizations like yours!

Memorial Day was never about a long weekend.

It started in the years after the Civil War, when towns across America gathered at gravesites to lay flowers and read names out loud. The point was simple. Don't let anyone disappear.

That's still the work today. Say the names. Tell the stories. Make sure the children in our communities know who they're walking past in the cemetery.

The Exchange Club has spent more than a century honoring service. Today we honor the ones who paid the highest price for it.

The Exchange Club of Helena is proud to recognize Sam Flynn of Capital High School as our 2026 Youth of the Year! 🎉

Sam was selected from an outstanding group of Youth of the Month recipients representing area high schools throughout the school year. Each month, we had the privilege of welcoming these exceptional students to our meetings and learning more about their academic achievements, leadership, community involvement, and extracurricular accomplishments.

Sam’s application stood out for his remarkable achievements in academics, technology, leadership, and service. A future valedictorian and nationally recognized competitor in Business Professionals of America, Sam has already built an impressive resume in cybersecurity, robotics, information technology, and community leadership. From serving as captain of his robotics team to interning with Information Systems of Montana, Sam exemplifies the innovation, work ethic, and commitment to service that this award represents.

We would also like to congratulate our outstanding runners-up:

We were thrilled to welcome Cami and Katie from Girls Thrive to this week’s Exchange Club of Helena meeting! 💜

They shared more about their incredible organization and the meaningful work they are doing to empower young girls in our community through confidence-building, leadership development, wellness, and outdoor activities.

We also appreciated hearing how the grant provided by our Club earlier this year has helped support their mission and impact local youth. Thank you, Girls Thrive, for all you do to help girls in our community grow, lead, and thrive!
