"INDIA SUPERA MEMORIAL BASKET BALL TOURNAMENT"

The one thing that stands out with India Supera's support to TCEF and the Tibetans is her purity of motivation. She just wanted to help, just wanted to do SEVA. I don't think she ever imagined that after her passing away, there would be a basketball tournament to honor her memory!

But that is precisely what happened. This past week, Kyitsel-ling Tibetan Children's Education Center hosted its 6th Annual India Supera Memorial Tournament at Clement Town, N India. After months of monsoon rains, the children are always eager for sunshine and basketball in October. This year's tournament was a big success with eighteen teams in three categories taking part. The icing on the cake was when the Kyitsel-ling senior boys won the trophy in their category!

Rainbow School, Zanskar, Ladakh was co-founded by a former Kyitsel-ling student.

TCEF is very pleased to support Rainbow School with some supplies for their Montessori and other school programs.

TCEF believes that one of the best ways to help preserve Tibetan culture is by helping to transmit it to the children. Taking the children on educational tours of Tibetan culture centers is a fun way for the children to learn. Thank you Dori Garfield for sponsoring these tours - and thank you Kyitsel-ling for making such wonderful arrangements.
