Why do the little things matter?

Because to a child walking through our red doors, everything feels unfamiliar. It can be a scary, overwhelming moment filled with uncertainty. That’s why we are so grateful for thoughtful touches like the sweet, colorful pictures created by students at CAK.

These drawings may seem simple, but to the children we serve, they are so much more. They are a reminder that someone cares. That they are seen. That even in a hard moment, there is kindness waiting for them.

A bright picture, filled with happy colors and encouraging messages, can bring a small sense of comfort on a really big day. It can create a moment of peace, a smile, or even just a reminder that they are not alone.

💛 Because every child deserves to feel loved.
💛 Because small acts can make a big impact.
💛 Because hope can come in the form of crayons and paper.

This week, we aren’t concentrating on more items….
❤️We need people willing to walk hand in hand with us as monthly donors to help cover the cost of caring for the children and foster families we serve every single month.❤️

On average, it costs about $300 to provide care, comfort, and supplies for each guest who walks through our doors. By becoming a Sock Buddy, you become a vital part of their journey.

Monthly recurring donors allow us to continue providing a safe, welcoming, and loving environment for children on some of the hardest days of their lives.

Your monthly gift no matter the size truly matters:
