Fall Fest fun for the little ones! 🎃 The Mini Kids’ Zone is open Saturday, Oct 31, 9am to 1pm, south of the Farmers Market Pavilion. Bounce houses, train rides, robotics, flight simulators, trick-or-treating, and a flyover by the Tiger Trac Formation Team. Free for the whole family! ✈️

If Fall Fest has its own hours or other activities you’d like to mention alongside this, send them over and I’ll work them in.

Halloween fun starts tonight! 🎃 Our friends at the Hammond Rec Center are hosting BOO at the REC from 5 to 7 PM at the Michael J. Kenney Center. Bring the kids in costume for carnival games, face painting, inflatables, treats, a costume contest, and more. Have a spooktacular time, Hammond! 👻

Kick off the holiday shopping season in Historic Downtown Hammond on Friday, November 20, from 5–8 p.m.

🎅 Photos with Santa, holiday music, and a fire truck at Railroad Park
❄️ The snow play area returns for the first time since 2015!
🛍️ Night Market with local vendors and makers at Cate Square Park
🚂 Holiday train rides from Cate Square Park, provided by Star Equipment ($5, ages 2 and under ride free)

👻 The map is here! Downtown Trick ‘r Treat is TOMORROW, and over 30 downtown businesses are ready to fill your treat bags!

☀️ Even better, the forecast is looking perfect: sunny, dry, and in the 70s with zero chance of rain. Ideal costume weather!

Save this post so you can pull up the map and plan your route. Each number marks a participating business, and #32 on E. Charles St. is Tangi Crime Stoppers’ Night Out Against Crime, with games, local first responders, and safety resources for the whole family.

🎟️ Free and open to the public

🚧 The 100 block of E. Charles St. (between N. Cypress St. and N. Oak St.) will be closed to traffic from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Parking is marked on the map, so plan ahead!

👮 Hammond PD officers will be stationed at intersections throughout the trick-or-treat area.

This event kicks off Red Ribbon Week (October 23 to 31) and this year’s message, “Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.” 🎗️
