Look at all the new growth hiding in plain sight in our community garden! We have pumpkin gourds, zucchinni, acorn squash, Tabasco peppers, tomatoes, yellow squash, and cucumbers. Can't wait until they're ready for harvest!

Come my child and give me all that you are. I am not afraid of your strength and darkness, of your fear and pain.

Give me your tears. They will be my rushing rivers and roaring oceans.

Give me your rage. It will erupt into my molten volcanoes and rolling thunder.

Give me your tired spirit. I will lay it to rest in my soft meadows.

Give me your hopes and dreams. I will plant a field of sunflowers and arch rainbows in the sky.

You are not too much for me. My arms and heart welcome your true fullness.

There is room in my world for all of you, all that you are.

I will cradle you in the boughs of my ancient redwoods and the valleys of my gentle rolling hills.

My soft winds will sing you lullabies and soothe your burdened heart.

Release your deep pain. You are not alone and you have never been alone.

And today when you journey to be together with me, I can show you the fullness and abundant nurturing I have for you.

Walking around the garden. Lots of new growth, some stuff is dying out, but we have more seedlings to replace them when they do!

Not even the pouring down rain could keep me out of the garden! Our Squashes are just starting to squash, the pumpkin gourds are blooming their little gourds off, the day lilies and their other flower friends are brightening up the grounds giving a cheery feeling (even on a cloudy, rainy day) and the cabbages are started to form their heads. I planted some more okra today and added some fertilizer where needed. The tomatoes and peppers should be ready soon. The peas probably need to be picked, as they are not looking so great, not sure if it is the heat, too much water, or not enough fertilizer; I added a little blood meal and fresh soil around their base Tuesday evening hoping a nitrogen boost would help, but they looked even sadder today :( our garden neighbor and new friend, Big Wayne, dropped off some seeds for me, so that made my heart smile 😁 I hope to plant some cucuzza, Tromboni squash, and melon in a week or so, but for now, just watching everything grow and bloom!

Yesterday was such a great time at our Love The Earth event! The kids and adult kids had a great time! We enjoyed food, fellowship, and fun with one another. I didn't take any pictures, but had a few shared with me. Hope to see y'all at our next event!

It always warms our hearts when we see community outreach while we are traveling. Today we ran across Restoration Church and Rays of Hope Community Outreach distributing free meals and prayers at the corner of LA 445 and US 190 (across from Robert Supermarket ). They will be out there until 2pm, but they do this the third Saturday of every month. Check their page to keep updated on where they will bring their meals and message next.
