โHow is residential assessed value determined?
In Louisiana, residential property is first appraised at its fair market value.
Our appraisers consider factors such as:
๐ Recent sales of comparable homes
๐ Location
๐ Square footage and lot size
๐ ๏ธ Age, condition, and quality of construction
โจ Features and improvements, such as garages, pools, or additional living space
Once the fair market value is established, Louisiana law requires residential property to be assessed at 10% of its fair market value.
Example:
A home with a fair market value of $250,000 would have an assessed value of $25,000.
Our goal is to ensure every property is assessed fairly, uniformly, and in accordance with Louisiana law.
