Wishing the best of luck to Kaleb Law and Cole Wodke as they travel to Washington, D.C., to represent Louisiana at the American Legion's Boys Nation program this week! 🇺🇸

Selected from among Louisiana Boys State's citizens, Kaleb and Cole will join young leaders from across the nation to engage with the federal government, debate public policy, and build lifelong friendships while proudly carrying Louisiana's legacy on the national stage.

We're proud of both of you and wish you a successful and unforgettable week in our nation's capital!

Cole Wodke was selected to represent Louisiana at the American Legion's Boys Nation program in Washington, D.C. (July 17-25). This is one of the highest honors a Boys State delegate can receive. Only two delegates were selected from Louisiana. He's the first Parkway student to earn that opportunity since 2015. It's always great to see our Panthers continue to have such a strong showing at the program, and this year was no exception.

Congratulations to Louisiana Boys State on another remarkable session! The Pelican State brought energy, heart, and leadership to every part of the week. Please welcome Senator Wodke and Senator Law to American Legion Boys Nation.

Take us back.

Only 350 days until .

07/04/2026

For 250 years, the American story has been written by people who chose to get involved.

Our country didn't reach this milestone by accident. Every generation has been called to learn, lead, serve, and strengthen the communities around them. The future of our state and nation depends on people who are willing to do the same today.

At Louisiana Boys State, our 2026 theme, Engage in Change, reminded us that meaningful change begins with informed citizens who understand their government, participate in their communities, and exercise the responsibilities that come with citizenship.

This Independence Day, as we celebrate 250 years of America, we also celebrate the next generation of leaders committed to building what comes next.

First, knowledge. Then, action. Engage in Change.

🇺🇸 Happy Independence Day from Louisiana Boys State.
