College Grad Spotlight: Congratulations Damarys Aceituno!

Damarys graduated from Loyola University (Chicago) with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance and International Business.After graduation, Damarys will begin her career in Chicago, where she plans to work as a financial analyst.

Favorite Club Memory:“The Big Girls Sleepover!”

A dedicated Club member and leader, Damarys was named Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich’s 2021 Youth of the Year, the Club’s highest honor recognizing outstanding leadership, academic achievement, service, and healthy lifestyles.

From being named Youth of the Year to launching a career in finance, Damarys’ journey is a wonderful example of the bright futures that begin at BGCG.

Congratulations, Damarys! We are so proud of all you have accomplished and wish you continued success in this exciting new chapter.

A heartfelt thank you to the Greenwich Department of Human Services for their generous grant support of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich's After-School Program.

Because of community partners like the Department of Human Services, hundreds of Greenwich youth have access to a safe, welcoming environment each day where they can receive homework help, participate in enriching programs, build healthy relationships, and develop the skills they need to succeed.

We are grateful for their continued investment in the young people and families of our community. Together, we are opening doors to great futures for Greenwich youth.

That’s a wrap on an incredible school year!

Today marks the final day of our after-school programs, and what a year it has been!

This was our first full school year back home in the beautiful Rebecca S. Breed Clubhouse after spending the previous two years operating across multiple locations during our renovation. Seeing our hallways, classrooms, gymnasium, pool, field house, and Teen Center filled with laughter, learning, friendships, and unforgettable memories has been the greatest celebration of all.

Thank you to our members, families, staff, and supporters for making this year so special. Your patience, enthusiasm, and commitment helped make our return home everything we hoped it would be.

While the school year is coming to a close, the fun is just beginning! We can’t wait to welcome all of our campers when Summer Camps kick off on June 22 for another season of adventure, friendship, and great futures.

Have a wonderful summer! We’ll see you at the Club!

College Grad Spotlight: Congratulations Nicole Martins!

Nicole graduated with honors from Manhattanville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. During her senior year, she completed her internship at BGCG with Ms. Kim, gaining valuable experience in the field.

This summer, Nicole is serving as a staff member at Teen Camp and will continue working part-time at BGCG this fall. She is currently pursuing her goal of becoming a victim advocate with WESTCOP and hopes to return to school within the next year to earn her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work.

Favorite Club Memory:
"As a kid, free swim was my favorite part of the Club. I loved swimming, but I didn't have access to a pool outside of the Boys & Girls Club, so I took advantage of every opportunity to swim with my friends. I also learned how to swim at the Club, and it helped me become the strong swimmer I am today."

Congratulations, Nicole! We are so proud of your accomplishments and grateful that you continue to make a difference in the lives of Club kids. We wish you all the best as you pursue your career goals!
