🥒 Brine time! 🌿
We had a blast turning veggies from the garden into homemade pickles! We learned how to preserve the end-of-summer harvest and have fun experimenting with different herbs and spices to create our own flavors.

🌱Hands-on learning, garden-grown goodness, and lots of munching along the way!

🐸🐝 Forest Days Friday!

💚At Forest Days, our explorers aren’t just making friends with each other…they’re making Forest Friends too!

🔎A little frog, a busy bee, a curious bug; every encounter is an opportunity to pause, observe, wonder, and learn.

🌱When we teach kids to notice and respect the creatures and habitats they share, we’re nurturing little stewards of the natural world. Because the forest is full of friends if we slow down enough to meet them.

🌿 Forest Days Friday!

🐸First full week of Fall Forest Days = muddy boots, new friends, big discoveries…and one very special frog encounter!

🔎As our explorers get to know each other and their forest classroom, they’re doing so much more than playing outside.

💪Time in nature helps kids build confidence, curiosity, creativity, resilience, and independence all while moving their bodies, using their imaginations, and learning through hands-on discovery.

✨The best kind of learning looks a lot like play!

🌲GBC educators love learning, too!

🪢Last week, we spent an afternoon learning, laughing, and beefing up our wilderness skills during a special Forest Days staff training! Guest expert “Wilderness Will” put us to work building tarp shelters and practicing essential knot tying. We can’t wait to share what we learned with our Forest Days explorers. 🔎

💚We’re proud that GBC can provide opportunities like these for our staff to keep learning, growing, and developing an even deeper appreciation for the work we love. Because when our teachers get to explore, our kids benefit too!
