🌱 Join us for a special behind-the-scenes visit to Blue Hill at Stone Barns!

🫜On Thursday, June 11, experience a private guided tour of the renowned farm, gardens, greenhouses, barns, and restaurant spaces at Stone Barns Center in Tarrytown, NY. At the height of the growing season, you’ll explore the innovative work of their cooks, farmers, and educators while learning about projects in baking, preservation, and whole-animal butchery.

🧺After the tour, enjoy a seasonal lunch in the Arts & Ecology Lab featuring farm-fresh vegetables, whole grains, pasture-raised meats, and house-made preserves.

🌱This week, GBC wrapped up our third year of welcoming all Greenwich Public Schools 3rd graders to the Greenwich Botanical Center for their district-wide “Plant Adaptations” assured experience.

🪴Over the course of two months, we hosted more than 650 students, inspiring curiosity about plants while giving students the opportunity to spend meaningful time in nature, explore our horticultural building, and discover the wonders of the greenhouse.

🌎We’re proud to help connect the next generation with plants and nature through hands-on environmental learning and exploration.

Forest Days Fun 🌿📓

📝Quiet moments in the forest this week as our field trip visitors practiced nature journaling: sketching what they observed, writing about what they noticed and what surprised them, and using all of their senses to fully immerse themselves in their environment.

🌱Nature journaling encourages kids to explore curiosity, observation, patience, and it plants the seeds for a lifelong connection to nature and the world around them.

☀️What a day! Thank you to everyone who came out to make May Gardeners Market a success; from passionate plant lovers to budding young gardeners. We loved seeing the grounds full of garden enthusiasts, families, full wagons, and spring energy buzzing!

💚A huge thank you to our incredible vendors, community partners, and speakers for sharing your expertise, and to the volunteers and staff for making it all look easy! We enjoyed delicious treats from the food trucks and welcomed families who picnicked, explored, and truly made a day of it.
