🏥Healthy Start, Healthy Habits!

With this being GCS' 101st season, we thought we'd start it off right with a return to the basics - vocal health 101.

GCS was thankful to welcome local vocal superstars Andrew Keltz, MS, CCC-SLP (), Sari Koppel, MS, CCC-SLP (), and Michael Lerner, MD from the Yale Voice Center at Greenwich Hospital () to our first Saturday of the season to present a Vocal Health and Wellness Workshop.

Our choristers got an in-depth look at vocal anatomy, some pointers on 'dos and don'ts', a neat look at the vocal cords in action - and even a hands on SOVT lesson!

Being 100 years old ourselves, the Greenwich Choral Society is well versed in the rich history of our namesake town!

A group of GCS members had a blast - worthy of musket fire - at the America 250 celebration last Sunday, held on the lovely grounds of Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

Attendees enjoyed historical reenactments, a fife and drum corps, a performance by the Greenwich Choral Society, and a variety of booths & musical acts throughout the day. Our members also took part in multiple performances, representing different historical and community organizations from Greenwich and the surrounding area.

⭐100 Years of Music, Magic, and Joy⭐

A boisterous - Thank You! - to everyone who joined us last weekend for our wonderful centennial finale concert and reception! Truly, the Greenwich Choral Society could not be, "GCS", without each and every one of you.

We were so delighted to have two exceptional GCS directors sharing the podium and conducting choristers from years current and past - a true nod to the lasting legacy of this 100 year-old Greenwich community staple. Paul Mueller, Christine Howlett, a resounding cheer for you both!

You won't have to wait too long before seeing us again. Stay tuned for a chance to hear the chorus this summer in late June, or, be a part of the experience yourself at our Summer Sing in August. More to come!
