🚨 Needs Assessment Spotlight: Early Childhood Education 🚨

We surveyed 693 Greenwich residents to evaluate local infant-toddler and preschool programs. Here is what we found:

• ⭐ Quality: High (Families love the programs)
• 💸 Affordability: Low (High costs are a massive barrier)
• 🛑 The Result: Many parents are forced to skip enrollment altogether.

We held our final Deep Dive Report on Early Childhood Education at Town Hall yesterday.

A huge thank you to our partners at Fairfield University—Reinaldo D. Gonzalez Rodriguez (Associate Director for Community-Engaged Research) and Tanika Eaves (Associate Professor)—as well as everyone who joined.

Together, we uncovered top local needs and discussed how we can take real action to better serve our youngest learners. The work doesn’t stop here! 🤝

🎉 Huge news before the weekend: 211 wait times are down to just 5 minutes! ⏱️

Compared to September 2025, service requests rose from 7,540 to 13,048, while wait times plummeted from 59 minutes.

Getting connected to essential community resources, housing support, or utility assistance is now faster than ever. Help is just a quick call or text away! 📞✨

The cost of living in CT is higher than ever, and families are feeling the squeeze.

Since 2019, the number of households below the ALICE Threshold has increased by more than 14%. While the latest data shows a modest one-year decline, the broader trend is unmistakable: the gap between what Connecticut families earn and what it costs to live here isn't closing on its own.

It’s time for structural change. We can bridge this gap and build a state where every family has the opportunity to thrive by taking action now:

• 🏛️ Establish a Fully Refundable Connecticut Child Tax Credit to provide immediate, direct financial relief to working parents.

• 📞 Invest in 211 to ensure this vital resource can meet the skyrocketing demand for housing, utility, and food assistance.

Together, we can close the gap. Let’s invest in our families and our future. 🤝✨

✨ We had an absolute blast at the Community Fair with the Greenwich Library! 🎡

We had a fantastic turnout and loved seeing so many new and familiar faces. It was a wonderful time for everyone involved, and we want to extend a huge thank you to all of our incredible partners for coming out to support.

At the end of the day, we are all in this together for the Greenwich community, and we already look forward to doing this again next year! 🤝❤️
