Vision: To see a world where all women can be empowered

Heartbreak, loss, and difficult setbacks don’t end your story—they can mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. 💙

Loss isn’t limited to losing a loved one. We can grieve the end of a relationship, a friendship, a career, a dream, a sense of security, a chapter of life, or the person we thought we would become. Any kind of significant change or loss can bring up grief.

Grief looks different for everyone. There is no “right” way to grieve and no set timeline for healing. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting what matters or leaving it behind.

Ways to support yourself through grief:
• Allow yourself to feel and grieve in your own way.
• Remember that emotions can change from day to day.
• Talk to people you trust and ask for support.
• Prioritize rest, nourishment, movement, and routine.
• Be patient and compassionate with yourself.
• If grief becomes overwhelming or affects your daily life, consider seeking professional support.

Healing means making space for your feelings, seeking support, and learning to move forward—one day at a time.

At Ready to Empower, we believe no one should have to navigate difficult times alone. Through connection, education, and mental health support, we help individuals find strength, resilience, and hope—one day at a time. 💙

Meet Kimberly Culbertson

Kimberly is such a empowering volunteer! Her support as a board member has been a game changer for Ready To Empower 💙

Behind every mission is a team of people who believe in it enough to give their time, talents, and hearts.

At Ready to Empower, we call them our Empowerers. ✨

Our Board Members are more than volunteers—they are the engine behind our work. They help shape our vision, strengthen our impact, open doors to new opportunities, and ensure that we can continue empowering individuals, families, and communities through mental health education and support.

Today's spotlight is one of the dedicated leaders Renée Anzovino and Jasmeet Singh who is helping to move our mission forward. We hope you'll take a moment to get to know them and celebrate the volunteers who make this work possible.

💙 Thank you to all of our Empowerers for your leadership, dedication, and unwavering belief in our mission. We couldn't do this without you.

Theory of Change

Mental Health = Empowerment

We believe mental health is the foundation for opportunities and lasting change. True empowerment happens when individuals, schools, and communities have the tools, resources, and support to create lasting change. Mental wellness is the foundation that makes those tools effective—empowering people to make informed decisions, advocate for themselves, and lead in their communities.

Every step toward mental wellness is a step toward a stronger community.

Empowering minds. Strengthening communities.

Mental Health Needs are Rising

Like our other needs, mental health needs are also growing faster than available support. Schools and community organizations often lack the capacity to meet increasing demand, while many communities have little to no access to affordable mental health services.

Ready to Empower Ed program helps bridge this gap by expanding access to mental health support where it's needed most. Community organizations and schools are stretched past their capacity and deserve the extra support.

Ready to Empower is here to help fill the Mental Health gap for communities.

Building a Community of Empowered Women

Our President, Amanda Ready, had the opportunity to participate in a golf clinic and outing with fellow members of the Connecticut Women’s Council.
The Connecticut Women’s Council is a vibrant community of diverse professional women who come together to inspire, support, and uplift one another.

It was a wonderful day filled with connection, learning, laughter, and community. From learning new skills on the golf course to building meaningful relationships with inspiring women across Connecticut, the experience was a beautiful reminder of the power of women coming together.

When women support women, incredible things happen. 💛

“Waiting Mode”

Have you ever had one thing scheduled for the day… and suddenly you can’t do anything else?

Then you are not Alone!!

For people with ADHD, the anxiety of missing an appointment or important task can make it hard to focus on anything else other than that one event.

✨You have plans at 3:00 PM, so your brain says:
“Don’t start anything. What if you lose track of time?”
“Don’t go anywhere too far.

✨So you spend the whole day waiting.
It is not laziness or lack of motivation. This is called “waiting mode,” and it's part of ADHD.

Stop judging or comparing yourself like your brain works the same as everyone else.

Your brain just works differently, and that's okay. ✨
The goal isn’t to try harder, but to work with your brain and create a schedule that works for you.

Ready to Empower has the resources and support you need to manage your ADHD.

🎙️ Empowering Podcast Episode: Building Trust with Amanda Ready & Mona Soni

Ready to Empower is excited to share an inspiring conversation featuring our Founder & President, Amanda Ready, and former Ready to Empower Board Member, Mona Soni, Founder of Sostibl, on Mona's podcast, Catalyst for Tomorrow.

Before launching her leadership consulting work, Mona served as a valued member of the Ready to Empower Board of Directors, where she provided thoughtful leadership, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to our mission.

In this episode, "Building Trust," Amanda and Mona discuss why trust is the foundation of meaningful leadership and how authentic partnerships between nonprofits, schools, and organizations create lasting community impact. At Ready to Empower, we believe that real change happens when organizations choose collaboration over competition.

A heartfelt thank you to Mona for hosting this important conversation and for her continued dedication to empowering leaders and communities.
