Greenwich Green & Clean

Greenwich Green & Clean As each season puts its imprint on Greenwich, so does Greenwich Green & Clean. Since 1986, we have committed ourselves to beautifying shared public spaces.

Since our founding in 1986, we have remained committed to developing partnerships to beautify the public spaces we all share. Our projects include hanging summer and winter baskets in Central Greenwich, landscaping and maintaining town highway exits, organizing town-wide clean ups and invasive plant removal. The members of Green and Clean invite you to take a walk with us through Greenwich and mee

t our devoted partners. We hope that one you see the role we play in this community, you will be inspired to support our worthy cause.

🌊 On May 26, volunteers from UBS joined Greenwich Green & Clean at Greenwich Point Park for an evening shoreline cleanup. Together, they removed litter and debris from the beach, helping protect one of Greenwich’s most treasured natural spaces.

💚 We are grateful for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to environmental stewardship, and for partners like UBS who invest their time and energy in caring for our community.

✨ What an evening.

🌿 On May 17, supporters, volunteers, community partners, and friends gathered at The Field Club of Greenwich to celebrate GG&C’s 40th Anniversary and honor four decades of beautification, environmental stewardship, and community engagement.

🌟 A highlight of the evening was a conversation with Alyssa Keleshian and Cynthia Malkin Blumenthal, daughters of GG&C’s founding leaders. Reflecting on their parents’ vision and leadership, they shared personal stories about the organization’s early days and the lasting impact those efforts have had on Greenwich and the generations that followed.

💚 We are deeply grateful for the incredible support shown by our community. Thanks to the generosity of our guests, sponsors, donors, auction contributors, and volunteers, the celebration exceeded our expectations and will help support programs that enhance Greenwich’s public spaces for years to come.

🌺 A special thank you to our anniversary co-chairs, Amanda Gaudelet and Alexandra Friedman, whose leadership helped make this milestone celebration possible.

🇺🇸 The evening also reflected our participation in America’s 250th celebration. The red, white, and blue theme woven throughout the event—from the invitations to the floral décor—was inspired by the seasonal hanging baskets that will soon brighten central Greenwich throughout town this summer.

🌱 As we look ahead, we remain committed to building on the legacy of those who came before us while inspiring the next generation of community stewards.

💚 Here’s to the next 40 years.

🌿 Meet Our Summer Interns! 🌿

Greenwich Green & Clean is excited to welcome two interns this year, Jacob Rubenstein and Noah Frankel.

Over their four-week internship, Jacob and Noah have been assisting with native shrub plantings, social media outreach, and other projects that support Greenwich Green & Clean’s mission of beautification and environmental stewardship.

Now halfway through their internship, we are grateful for their enthusiasm, hard work, and support of our mission.
Thank you, Jacob and Noah!

On a beautiful Saturday morning — just one day before our 40th Anniversary celebration — Greenwich Green & Clean partnered with Friends of Byram Park and the Parks Department to help prepare Byram Park for the summer season 🌿

Volunteers spent the morning making improvements throughout the park, including cleanup efforts and planting additional native plants and shrubs 🌱

One highlight of the day was watching Henry (8) enthusiastically lead with his wheelbarrow — engaging other children and showing exactly which plants to collect after cleanup. His leadership and energy were truly incredible ✨

After the cleanup, volunteers gathered at the Byram Shore Boat Club for a generously hosted BBQ 🍔☀️ — such a wonderful way to begin the weekend!

Thanks to everyone who joined us 💚 Byram Park is now ready for the upcoming summer season!
