🎡💙 What an incredible Volunteer Appreciation Event at Bay Beach Amusement Park!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the amazing volunteers who make the ADRC of Brown County's mission possible. Whether you're delivering meals, leading programs, supporting events, serving in the Grounded Café, or helping behind the scenes, your dedication, compassion, and generosity make a lasting difference in the lives of older adults, individuals with disabilities, and caregivers throughout our community.

Thank you to each and every volunteer for the countless hours you give, the smiles you share, and the positive impact you make every day. We are truly grateful for all that you do.

A special thank you to Aramark for generously donating food for the event and helping make the celebration so special. We would also like to thank Jill Grohusky Music for providing wonderful entertainment and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who help make our community stronger. We couldn't do it without you! 🌟

☀️ Today is The Longest Day ☀️
The longest day of the year is more than a date on the calendar—it's a day to shine a light on the challenges faced by individuals living with dementia and the family members, friends, and caregivers who support them every day.

For many affected by dementia, each day can feel long and filled with uncertainty. Today, we stand together to raise awareness, foster understanding, and support efforts to improve the lives of those impacted by this disease.

Dementia touches countless families in our community. By learning more, showing compassion, and supporting one another, we can help create a more dementia-friendly community for everyone.

Join us in honoring The Longest Day by sharing a memory of a loved one, learning about dementia, supporting a caregiver, or simply taking a moment to spread kindness and understanding.
Together, we can bring light, hope, and connection to those navigating the dementia journey. 💜

Farmers Market Summer Produce
Hello June! Farmers Market season is underway! ☀️🥗

This month is the perfect month to explore local Farmers Markets and to fill your plate with in-season produce that is fresh and colorful! Look for fruits and veggies like strawberries, rhubarb, radishes, asparagus, peas, and leafy greens. These seasonal foods are packed with vitamins to support energy, immunity, and heart health.

Try adding one extra fruit or veggie to your meals each day—it adds up! 💚

Sometimes it feels like there are only two seasons in Wisconsin: winter and construction! 🚧❄️

As driveway and road projects ramp up across the state, so do reports of asphalt paving scams. The Better Business Bureau has received numerous complaints from homeowners who were approached by contractors offering "leftover materials" or deeply discounted paving services, only to end up with poor workmanship or no work at all.

☀️ Sunshine and fresh air are some of the best parts of summer — but staying safe in the sun is important too! 😎

Bright sunlight and glare can make it harder to spot curbs, bumps, uneven sidewalks, or other obstacles while walking outdoors. Protect yourself and enjoy the season safely by:
🕶️ Wearing sunglasses or a brimmed hat
🚶 Taking your time while walking
👀 Staying aware of the path ahead
💧 Staying hydrated on warm days
