Northeastern Wisconsin Bird Alliance Formerly Northeastern Wisconsin Audubon. Hi fellow bird enthusiast! You’ve come to the right place!

We've been having so much fun with you in our spring live events series! The final event of Welcome Back Birds is coming up in a few weeks (June 18). We’ll chat with Cornell Lab experts about how to bring more kinds of birds to your yard and how to keep them safe and enjoy them all summer long. If you haven’t registered for our Welcome Back Birds series yet, when you register you’ll get a link to April and May’s event recordings, which were all about bird songs and migration. We'll also send you curated resources to help you go deeper into each of these topics, and a discount on Bird Academy courses. Plus one lucky attendee at each live event will be randomly chosen to receive a free Bird Academy course! Register here: https://hubs.la/Q048Db280

Note: If you already registered for April or May’s live events, you don't need to re-register. We'll send you a link to join the June event soon. Which species do you most enjoy having in your yard in the summertime?

There is a Lights Out Alert forecast for tonight, May 11th across Wisconsin 💡

Scientists are forecasting high levels of bird migration tonight... around 17.6 million birds over Wisconsin and 383 million over the continental US

How can you help? Turn off all non-essential outdoor lights tonight, and ideally through mid-June once migration season has ended🐦

We had a great time at our annual spring banquet last week! A record breaking sixty people enjoyed dinner, learned about piping plovers in Green Bay, and played a very fun and competitive round of piping plover Jeopardy! Thanks to all who came out to learn, celebrate, and support NEWBA. It was a fantastic evening for birds!
