Hey Friends, we have a chance for 3 of our sober women to join Rebekah's House Sober Living to do a sober paint and Sip! Would anyone have supplies they would donate to Nichole to help this happen?

Our staff get to do life with our residents. We get to be there to celebrate with them when “”they’re winning”, and walk with them when they go “through it”.

This week, it’s been more of the latter. Yesterday, one of our (newly not drinking) guys’ mom passed away. He’s struggling.

Making positive change is hard just regularly. To be changing habits, that makes it even more so.

Please be thinking of our peeps in the days ahead. Life doesn’t pause when we make changes, and sometimes, we need to learn while we go. This is one of those times.

Thanks everyone for caring for our friends and neighbors with us.

Meet the newest additions to SHHC! Dolly, Dollar, Maebe(pronounced Maybe), & Phyl (our surprise girl we named when we thought she was a boy).

These little ones were found at someone’s work, he called us and boom!
Yesterday, we took them for shots and a good once over by a vet. It was costly, and necessary.

They are slowly getting acclimated to being inside. The parallel between these cuties that were outside and our residents, isn’t lost on any of us. We are forever grateful to Elizabeth for seeing both our people and the cats, back in January. Together we really founded something beautiful, and it could never have happened without ALL OF YOU!

Today is the day we get to celebrate our group who got sober together! We celebrated 3 people tonight, and all got to enjoy the dinner. I think it’s important to say what a beautiful thing it is the other two made it over a week of changes.

Rarely do we get to eat all of us together. Today - we did - and it was wonderful.

So many people to thank! We raised enough for dinner and the next dinner, so we can make this a tradition as people make more and more positive change. We did it mostly $5/$10 at a time! That’s all YOU!

A special shout out to Kelly of Meronk Farms, for donating the steaks!!! They were DELICIOUS! Melissa Wagner Trepanier for the yummy corn, Table of Plenty Green Bay for the potatoes, and Vintage Rose for those to die for rolls!

I can’t tell you all how grateful we are to have the community we do! You all sure do love well!

UPDATE: WE HAVE EVERYTHING WE NEED for the dinner, and then some! We are so beyond grateful for our community! THANK YOU!

Ok friends, we have folks (5 people)who have been severe alcoholics for DECADES, who have now ALL been sober for 7 days - SEVEN WHOLE DAYS! They have BIG plans for careers, and are excited to get life going! We are beyond excited for them!

We want to reward them at 14 days! We decided on steak dinners all around.
As you can imagine, that can get costly for 19 people, and we don’t have finances for that…yet! So once again, we are coming to you!

We’re doing steak, corn on the cob, baked potato, and asparagus. If you feel so inclined next week, we would be so grateful for any donations for the meat, the potatoes and corn.

I know 14 days isn’t a big deal to some. For these guys - ITS PIVOTAL! Regardless if you can/will donate or not - please be holding the best for them, for all of our folks. They have this chance for change because of YOU!
