Grant applications for the Women's Fund of Weld County, Inc. 2026 grant cycle are due in one week!

The Women’s Fund seeks projects that address unmet needs of women and girls in Weld County which will enable them to become self-confident, independent and economically self-sufficient members of the community.

We had a blast breaking ground at Koshio Park today in Fort Lupton! Loved seeing our friends with the City of Fort Lupton, Oxy, and the The Great Outdoors Fund.

The Foundation invested $50,000 in this project pulling from our Spread the Good Fund which helps fulfill our mission to strengthen the bonds that make our community thrive.

We are looking forward to seeing the finished product for the RECreate Koshio Park Project!

We are excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at the hard work of our first-ever Youth Grantmaking Council! Check out this video!

The YGC met June 22-26. This incredible group of high schoolers from all over Weld County came together in a Generosity Bootcamp to learn about the Nonprofit sector, visit local organizations with strong youth programming, and ultimately award $25,000.

Additionally, we’d like to thank Greeley-Evans School District 6 for partnering with us for transportation and connecting us to our wonderful D6 liaison Shelley Welch.

The Foundation had a special visit last week with NOCO Humane at their Evans campus.

NOCO Humane was recently selected by the Ketterling Gratitude Fund to receive a grant honoring individuals and teams across our nonprofit landscape who are going above and beyond in their work. The fund was created as a way to say, “thank you” and “keep up the great work.”

After presenting the team with the grant, NOCO Humane gave us a tour of their Evans campus and shared more about the vital work they are doing in Weld County. They are facing real challenges around growth and capacity, even as the need for their services continues to rise.

We are grateful for the compassion and steady work of the NOCO Humane team! Thank you for all you do to spread the good.

We had an amazing time last night with Azteca Boxing Club - there's a fund at the Foundation created for "random acts of kindness", so it treated this incredible nonprofit to ice cream. Keep up the great work!

Always a pleasure to have the original foundation and the behind all of it show up and buy the team ice cream. Weld Community Foundation and Rand were the first to partner with the center years back and they continue to believe and stand behind the mission. We are thankful for them.

What an incredible week at the Foundation!

We are celebrating the launch of our first-ever Youth GrantMaking Council, a generosity boot camp that brought together 8 students from high schools across Weld County. Over the course of the week, students learned about the world of grantmaking, visited local nonprofits, and made real decisions about how to invest $25,000 back into our community.

The students visited five nonprofits with strong youth-serving programs: WHALE, Weld Food Bank, Community Grief Center, FYR Mindset Reps, and SAVA Center NOCO.

After careful and thoughtful deliberation, the students chose WHALE Respite Care to receive the largest grant of $10,000. The other nonprofits each received $1,500 or more in grant funding.

Students also had the opportunity to direct an additional $500 grant to a youth-serving nonprofit of their choice, giving each of them a personal way to support a cause that mattered to them.

Our hope for this week was to give students a real taste of philanthropy in action. We wanted them to see the good work happening across Weld and to better understand how generosity can strengthen a community. These students jumped in fully and approached the responsibility with the utmost of thoughtfulness.

We are so proud of this first Youth GrantMaking Council and grateful for everyone who helped make the week possible. We’re already looking forward to next year!

The film, titled Legacy: A Severance Fan Film, premiered in April at UNC's Michener Hall. After the screening, cast and crew participated in a panel discussion where they were joined by actor Marc Gellar who plays Kier Eagan in the Apple TV series. (Photo in the comments).

The Arts Alive! Grant application is open now and closes on June 1, 2026. This grant is for emerging artists in Weld County who are ready to take the next step in their artistic development or for nonprofits looking to enrich the arts in Weld County through a special interest project.

Each May, the Weld Community Foundation gathers to honor our scholarship recipients. It is one of our favorite nights of the year.

Students sit at tables with the donors who made their scholarships possible and the volunteers who read their applications and selected recipients. We hear from past scholarship recipients about the impact the award has had on their journey.

We are incredibly grateful to the Weld Community Foundation for their generous $10,000 matching grant to the Johnstown Milliken Community Foundation!

Because of the amazing support from our community at Mom Prom, we raised $10,000 and thanks to this match, that impact has now doubled to $20,000 going right back into our local community.
