What more could we ask for on a beautiful summer Saturday? Welcoming nine deserving families into their new Habitat Homes was a touching celebration and dedication, even more beautiful than anticipated. An inspiring morning, indeed. But then, Chevron added another touch of joy to an already blessed day! Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity was honored to receive a $50,000 check from Chevron to help support more Habitat Homes for more families in Weld County.

We are eternally grateful to our longstanding Chevron for their years of volunteerism, investments, and support in our mission to open the door to opportunity!

We can’t wait for our nine new homeowners to unwrap the best gift of all...their very own Habitat Home. Ceremony & sentiment is the focus of today’s Habitat Home Dedication!

Thank you to everyone who has helped make the innovative Hope Springs & these nine homes possible. You are a part of opening the door to hope for these families!

There is something so special about watching a group of volunteers come together to help build a future for local families.

Yesterday, our partners at SouthState Bank were represented by a great group of volunteers. Their team spent the day completing the interior framing on two Habitat Homes at Hope Springs. Leading by example was Joy Urias-Valdez, SouthState Bank Regional President and member of both the Advisory Board and Family Selection Committee for Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity. This team shaped bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces that will soon become the heart of a family’s home.

Days like today are a beautiful reminder that homeownership truly starts with community. SouthState Bank continues to be an incredible partner to Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity, not only through their professional support, but also a willingness to show up for hands-on building support with our construction team.

Investments of time, finance, and advocacy make real solutions for affordable homeownership a reality with Habitat for Humanity. This is how the Weld County community is opening the door to opportunity.

What an amazing day at Hope Springs with our incredible partners from SouthState Bank!

The SouthState Bank volunteer team included Regional President, Joy Urias-Valdez, a GWHFH Advisory Board Member and Family Selection Committee Member, and two community volunteers. The weather held out, allowing completion of the interior framing on two Habitat Homes. Together, they created the spaces where two families will soon build their futures. Every wall raised today brings those families one step closer to coming home, and we could not be more grateful for SouthState Bank’s continued partnership and support of affordable housing in Weld County.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice has protected the freedoms and opportunities that we hold dear every day.

As we gather in freedom with family and friends this Memorial Day, all of us at Greeley-Weld Habitat for Humanity reflect, remember and honor our fallen soldiers with deepest gratitude.

This week, we were proud to host the Greeley Satellite Rotary meeting. Our boardroom was filled with so many familiar faces who have volunteered on our build sites over the years as we presented an overview of the scope and scale of impact that Habitat has created across Weld County. We shared the long-term impacts of volunteering & homeownership, the homeowner partnership application process, and Habitat's strategic plans that will build into the future. Many of the club members are familiar with the immediate visual impact that can be seen after volunteering on a Habitat build site. This presentation allowed time for an engaging conversation about the big picture impact; how far advocacy, investments, and efforts can reach when we come together to open the door to opportunity.

Thank you to Oxy, including Habitat Board President Matthew Wells , for an incredible day building with us at Home Springs!

The team spent the day working on exterior framing for two of our Habitat Homes. Oxy has been one of the earliest Hope Springs Partners, investing in the infrastructure that allowed Habitat to begin the vertical home building debt free. The Nature Discovery Park was made possible by Oxy and their team members continue to show up to build with us time and time again. In fact, we will see them on the build site again next month.

Oxy's partnership is an example of the diversified commitments of time, advocacy and financial investments that corporations make to the Habitat mission. Thank you for leading by example and for each helping hand from the Oxy team. We are so grateful for teamwork and long-term commitment to our mission. Together, we are opening doors to affordable housing solutions in Weld County.
