High Plains Library District Friends & Foundation

Mark your calendars! October 25th is the last day for the High Plains Library District Food Drive. You can drop off food cans at your closest branch 😊 🍂🍁

Food DRIVE is back, and this year, let’s hit the Foodie Road together and gather as much precious food as we can. Bring your non-perishable food donations to your nearest branch library and we’ll get them to your local food bank! Oct. 11 – 25. Let’s make it a lovely day for someone who could use a meal!

Our newest team members had the opportunity to attend a North tour of our branches and member-libraries! They made sure to bring their stamp passports along and collected 3 awesome stamps from Gover, Kersey Library, and Riverside Library & Cultural Center. 😎

What is your favorite North district location?!

The first cohort of students from Career Online High School (COHS) graduated! 🎉🎓

In 2024, HPLD Friends & Foundation funded $7981.83, from the proceeds of the 2022 Innovation Luncheon, for HPLD's access to the COHS program. This made Career Online High School available to every library patron at no cost and provides an accredited high school diploma in addition to concentrated workforce specialties.

This year, we had 13 graduates, 3 of which were able to attend the ceremony in person. Congratulations graduates! We are honored to be a part of your special day. 💙💚

And a special Thank You to Chalice Sprignfield from Unstoppable Curiosity for such an amazing and inspiring speech.

This past week our development team got to attend a two-day master class with Marcy Heim, transformational giving expert and The Artful Asker. Our team learned more on strengthening donor relationships, a new meaning to inspiring generosity, and the power of believing in ourselves.

We would like to thank the The Weld Trust for hosting us!

Once again congratulations to the Art Monsters from The Art Cart and Lil Monsters Playground for giving a fierce competition and for showing the HPLD Friends & Foundation support!

We would also like to thank GH Phipps Construction Companies for helping us in making it happen!
