Heartland Center for Spirituality would like to invite you to Radiance Within, a one-day workshop facilitated by Sr. Jane Belanger on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Heartland Center, 3600 Broadway, Great Bend, Kansas.
Through a series of sunflower paintings that celebrate life's beauty and transformation, participants will be guided in reflecting on growth, gratitude, surrender, and the light that shines within each of us. This enriching retreat offers an opportunity for spiritual reflection and personal renewal.

Inspired by Richard Rohr's The Tears of Things, this interactive evening will explore finding hope in times of uncertainty, loss, and change through the Christian understanding of apocalypse, lament, and the Paschal Mystery. In early 2011, the Heartland Center had the privilege of sponsoring two powerful RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) retreats, bringing together over 130 participants from across the Diocese of Dodge City.
These retreats represented a significant communal step toward the Easter sacraments, serving as a beautiful reminder that the path of spiritual initiation is never meant to be walked alone

In February 1990, the Heartland Center brought a special harmony to Great Bend by hosting its second Liturgical Music Reading Session.
This gathering was a unique opportunity for musicians, choir members, and singers from the pews to come together and discover new music that truly reflects the deepest ideals of faith.
