Central Kansas Partnership The Partnership is a coalition that is building a vibrant culture of health through task forces that Simply put, we advocate for healthy, caring communities.

Coalition
Central Kansas Partnership (CKP) has been building a vibrant culture of programs and grassroots efforts that promote health, wellness, and rural community prosperity. Our community coalition work dates back to 1991, with the development of Barton County LEAD (Leadership, Education, Action Against Drugs). In 2010, the Healthy Communities Coalition joined the Barton County Partnership to develop Central Kansas Partnership. The coalition now includes multiple task force initiatives that promote quality of life and build a prosperous community in Central Kansas. Most importantly, WE ADVOCATE WITH YOU; common efforts foster the common good! Task Forces
Task Forces work on specific issues such as parenthood, the built environment, prevention, and food security, and so much more. Some task forces have been in effect for several years, others are project-based, all of them are community-driven and the Partnership will last into perpetuity addressing emerging and ongoing issues. Some fundraise or hold events to meet specific objectives. The task forces may also make recommendations to the Central Kansas Partnership Board of Directors. Community Meetings
Community Meetings are open to the public and our task force membership. We have Community Meetings on the third Tuesday of the month, see our Calendar for more information. These meetings provide the opportunity to:
-Hear from a balcony perspective what specific task forces are working on
-Share what your group, organization, or club is working on and build collaborative relationships
-Identify emerging community needs, ideas, or spearhead conversations
-Make recommendations to the Board of Directors

Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors provides the administrative framework for a sustainable organization. Our Board carefully considers the needs and positions of each task force and the participants of the Community Sharing Meetings. Our Board of Directors is a progressive group of individuals that bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Vision

Central Kansas Nonprofit Network July Meeting this Wednesday!

As the Central Kansas Nonprofit Network (CKNN) continues building this vital network, they're moving forward together to strengthen nonprofit collaboration across Central Kansas.

Calling all nonprofit leaders, staff, and community partners!

Join us as we take the next step in developing this powerful community of organizations dedicated to making a difference.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

8:00 - 9:00 AM | Networking Social

Kick off the morning with coffee, snacks, and great conversation while connecting with fellow nonprofit professionals across Central Kansas.

9:00 - 11:00 AM | CKNN Meeting

One of the most common requests we hear from community members, organizations, businesses, and other partners is for a comprehensive Community Resource Guide. This meeting will focus on building that guide—and we need your voice at the table.

We'll also discuss a regional Community Needs Assessment that Golden Belt Community Foundation is working on, and the idea of collaborating on community events and ensuring that we aren't overlapping one another, along with other ways we can continue strengthening collaboration across Central Kansas.

🍕🎉 Pizza with a Purpose! Support Barton County Youth Crew! 🎉🍕

Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 18, and make lunch or dinner plans at Pizza Hut in Great Bend! When you dine in or carry out at the Great Bend location, you'll be helping local youth gain an incredible leadership opportunity.

The Barton County Youth Crew–Central Kansas Partnership is raising funds to send youth members to the CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute in Orlando. CADCA (Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America) equips young leaders with the tools, skills, and confidence to create positive change, prevent substance misuse, and make a lasting impact right here in Barton County.

Every pizza, breadstick, and buffet visit helps make this opportunity possible. 🍕❤️

Pizza Hut will donate 15% of sales from participating orders to help cover conference expenses, and you'll also have the chance to purchase raffle tickets for some great prizes!

What a Day of Growth!
Thanks to the support of the Kansas Health Foundation, The University of Kansas Medical School, LHEAT, COPE, Bonnie Plants , Sutherlands Great Bend, and countless volunteers and community partners, the Container Garden Project successfully served OVER 100 low-income and elderly individuals and families across Barton County.
Together, we distributed:
400+ plants to OVER 100 households
This project was about more than gardening. It was about increasing access to fresh produce, encouraging healthy choices, supporting mental well-being, and helping our neighbors grow something of their own.
A special thank you to everyone who helped organize, fill containers, unload supplies, register participants, and distribute materials. Community partnerships made this project possible.
We can't wait to see the tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, berries, and other produce growing throughout our communities this summer!
